I have had alot of issues with my ear wax over the years .
Lots of hospital microsuction and stuff

DC'S were supervising ...and I think it worked !!

I was so sceptical when DS bought them 🤣

They really don’t work.
If you burn one when it’s not in your ear you get the same ‘wax’ in the left over paper when you unroll it.

There's no scientific evidence that ear candling pulls out debris from the ear canal. Scientific measurements of the ear canals before and after candling show no reduction in earwax. Researchers even found an increase in wax because of the wax deposited by the candles

I remember them from about 20 years ago. I thought they'd been proven to be a load of bunkum.

Even if it is the same when you burn it again, if it has made you feel better then it’s ok.

I watched a tiktok about these and they showed that one burnt pit of the ear leaves exactly the same waxy debris behind.

I tried using a large 'Church Candle' to reduce costs but other than learning to balance the big bastard thing I'm not sure I gained anything.

I had thought that the 'religious' connection would be a boost but sadly not. God doesn't seem to move ear wax in mysterious way after all.

Yeah...and maybe your ear pops in your sleep too.

I love having them! But haven't done them on myself, it it easy to keep them balanced @bizzey ?

If your ear feels better then it worked, just not in the way the makers claim.

It seems you and dc had a fun sort of night, doing scientificy things, so it was worth it for that alone.

I use them and love them. I’ve done the whole burn one in my ear and another by itself for comparison about 8 different times and each and every time only the one used in my ear has actual wax in it 🤷🏼‍♀️

I would NOT reckomend to use them on your own !

I feel it needed another person there to tell you to stop talking
keep an eye on the flame and take it to the sink and help you off the floor !

Go to an audiologist and have the wax sucked out. I did this when I had a huge blockage and had gone deaf. The relief was instant! Not so nice was the camera he put up my ear beforehand and showing me all the gross shit in there on a huge screen beforehand.
