My husband hasn't changed his socks for at least 2 weeks

I know this because I do the laundry and he's been putting his other clothes in the basket, but a couple of weeks ago I realised I hadn't washed any of his socks for a while. Out of curiosity I made a little mark on the calendar and that was 2 weeks ago. Today I had a look in his bedroom in case there was a pile of them gently humming somewhere, but no, he must've been wearing the same ones all this time. I'm not going to say anything, I'm not his Mum and if he wants to wear socks that would be quite capable of walking around by themselves that's his business. Be interesting to see how long it takes him to realise.

I'd say where are you hiding your dirty socks I haven't seen any in the washing for two weeks

DH wears long socks at night because he has diabetes and they help, apparently. I cant remember the last time I ever saw any in the wash. God knows how long he has had this particular pair on. Its disgusting.
But Im not his mother and Im not a house elf. His feet. His problem.

Do you share a bed with him or does he have his own room?
I think if it's the former then it's very much your problem

Did you marry my ex husband 😳 he did this for a week at a time. He also did a manual job so had smelly workbooks. Took his socks off at the end of the week and they were so crispy they stood up by themselves. He had awful fungal toes 🤢
Separate bedrooms for the last 1t years of our marriage, together 23. When I moan to DH about the amount of socks he wears he threatens to turn into the ex haha 😄

Is he an Aussie who doesn't wear them?!

HoneyPotBee · 22/03/2023 20:46

I’d have to ask why he wasn’t changing his socks.

DanceMonster · 22/03/2023 20:49

I assume you don’t have sex with the vile creature?

Lolololololol · 22/03/2023 21:01

Does he not shower? How could anyone take off socks, shower, and then put the dirty socks back on? Gross...

Closetbeanmuncher · 22/03/2023 21:04

Good Lord, there really are some vile stinky men in the lives of some mumsnetters. Shock Men that don't brush their teeth, only shower once or twice a week, leave shitty skid marks all over their knickers, and massive shit logs in the loo and shit on the loo brush... And now, a man who doesn't change his socks for at least two weeks at a time. Some women here are married to absolute monsters.

To be honest with you, I feel absolutely grateful and blessed to have my lovely, clean, hygienic DH who has a shower every day, changes his underpants every day, cleans his teeth every day, and is a lovely smelling considerate clean man.

Whenever he does anything slightly wrong, or gets on my nerves a little bit. I'll just think of the grim feckers that some Mumsnet women are married to, and count my blessings...

🤮 Eeeugh that's just gross! 😂. It's a man thing, my hubby will wear his socks for days then eventually make it to the laundry basket. Seriously, when I take them out of the basket I really do feel like I'm going to be sick it's that bad 🤣 x
