UC enhanced review team notification? Anyone else?

NishaaS123 · 21/03/2023 16:06

I live with my husband and child my husband works and I don’t since I have claimed uc. My husband was on spouse visa so he wasn’t entitled to benefits before, his pay was being accounted under mine and I was on a single claim. He now has the settled status and allowed to claim benefits.
I submitted this proof to Uc and they now sent me this notification. Could it be due to me switching from single to joint claim? I have anxiety and these kind of things just add to anxiety for no reason😩 did anyone else had this before?

Hello I had the same today my payment is stopped I am very worried I called them and they told me that I need to wait for 2 days for uc risk team to call me? Did anyone get the same?

sophlouise1992 · 27/10/2023 00:33

Try not to worry, I spent 2 full days filled with anxiety, they rang me today and told me it’s a random review they are doing on lots of people. The guy was really nice asked me silly questions that even he agreed was stupid. Actually had a laugh on the call. Then had to upload documents. Passport tenancy agreement etc and hopefully all sorted and payment back up and running in next few days xx

Viki12234 · 29/10/2023 20:22

Do u know around what time they called u?

sophlouise1992 · 29/10/2023 23:33

Around 48 hours after the message was put on my journal, but I did keep leaving notes on my journal asking when this will be as I’m really worried etc. not sure if it helped

Shauna2866 · 31/10/2023 22:10

Hi is everyone getting these reviews?
I keep seeing ppl being asked to provide more info

Viki12234 · 01/11/2023 09:00

what information did everyone had to provide?

Shauna2866 · 01/11/2023 12:46

I think there asking everyone for different info
don’t think everyone gets asked to provide the same x

NishaaS123 · 01/11/2023 15:52

In my case they just asked for the basic stuff like Id and proof of address etc. but everyone else would be different but they are reviewing claims specially the ones made around Covid time

Hello, I have received the same message on my journal :( my anxiety and panic are through the roof, I feel sick and can't breathe I have my phone call on Tuesday, please can you tell me what it was like and what they asked for , what they need sending? I can't go out at the moment as I'm sick and Im so worried, what I have to print and send etc and was everything ok or where they intimidating? Thanks 🙏 I would really appreciate it if you could tell me what they ask and need so I'm kind of ready 😭😭

Viki12234 · 05/11/2023 16:44

they ask qenaral questions like if u been on holiday adress and stuff and also if u receive any other benefits u will need to send proof of that. And proof of adress and passport and a photo in front of your front door .

BronnauMawrion · 05/11/2023 16:55

Two different kinds of reviews are mentioned in this thread.
The UCR (Universal Credit Review) is about checking basic eligibility - mainly asking for photo ID and bank statements to check your capital. They may also have questions about who lives in your household, and your housing.
The Enhanced review is by a different team that usually deals with non-GB nationals and their eligibility to claim UC. They ask for pics taken outside your address to check you are not claiming from abroad.

Squimbo · 05/11/2023 16:58

Ah thankyou for your replies, I am a GB national and they have had all my ID so this is strange

:(

Squimbo · 05/11/2023 20:42

Hello, thankyou @Viki12234 @sophlouise1992 how long did they give you to send all the Information? I will need to print bank statements etc and post them or screenshot for my journal, Im useless at this especially when with such terrible anxiety:( x

Shauna2866 · 05/11/2023 20:46

@BronnauMawrion hi so are they doing 2 different type of reviews or is everyone going to be getting these reviews ? How long have they been doing them for ?? X

BronnauMawrion · 05/11/2023 21:18

Not every claim will have an enhanced review, but i think all claims will eventually be given a UCR.

And your to-do list will show your deadline for submitting the evidence requested. It's usually 14 days.

LizzieSheeh · 08/11/2023 22:04

Hi UC have suspended my payments followed by a message from the enhanced review team …I am panicking my pay day is the 19th and I have to pay my rent on my pay day can anyone help?

Shauna2866 · 09/11/2023 07:38

@LizzieSheeh everyone who I’m talking to at the min is getting this done I’ve not heard anything yet but I’m pretty sure I will soon
but then some aren’t having there payments blocked why are some getting there money stopped and some aren’t …..

jus try and send everything over to them asap and hopefully they will get your payments back up and running not what you need specially when rent is due and Xmas is in like 6 weeks!! X

Hangryjinkyboy · 09/01/2025 14:19

My claim was yrs ago. Was only reviewed 6 months ago. Sent passport and bank statements online. Got message 3 days later got a phone app tmrw. I asked why me. Said commuter generates random names . Dosnt make me less anxious though x
