What's the worst film you've ever watched? Think I just melted my brain...

...by watching Spy Intervention on Prime. It has Drew Van Acker in it of PLL fame and I was looking for something a bit easy, he's pretty (I know, I know, very high brow of me) and dear GOD it was terrible. I may have to burn my own eyes out - was it a romance, was it a comedy? Was it just fucking terrible? yes, yes to the latter.

I can't quite believe I kept watching until the bitter end, I think I was expecting something to happen that would explain why it was so bad?

What's the worst film you've ever watched?

PS: DVA WAS pretty in it. Very. But it still wasn't enough to save it.

I didn’t even finish the just under 3 minute trailer of Everything, everywhere, all at once!
Someone insisted I watch it’s a Wonderful Life - it’s not a wonderful film imo.

Satc2, and I love rom coms and satc!

JeremyBearamy · 21/03/2023 04:27

The Green Knight. It was long and boring and pretentious. There were loads of scenes that were clearly metaphors but I just didn't understand them. Tried googling but was none the wiser!

ginislife · 21/03/2023 04:56

Hot Fuzz. I've never turned a film off before. What a load of tosh.

PurplePetalPip · 21/03/2023 04:56

V for Vendetta.

I found it so cringey and dull and was so surprised when we left the cinema and everyone I watched it with said how great they thought it was.

BrimFullOfAsher · 21/03/2023 05:03

Silent Hill

And I like Sean Bean, but he makes this one unwatchable

The garden state, gravity, the Martian and a film about a killer wind. (Think it was mark wahlberg)

I know, I think Cage must have owed someone money or did it for a dare.
My JCLDS mates love it though.

SecretVictoria · 21/03/2023 05:59

Meet Joe Black - the most boring film ever.

alwayscrashinginthesamecar1 · 21/03/2023 06:01

Space Chimps 2 is legendary in our house for being the greatest load of shit ever to be screened.

Pomtiddly · 21/03/2023 06:05

27 Dresses...wedding obsessed woman has many dresses. Shafts on until marriage (spoiler alert) happens. Inane drivel

Crumpetdisappointment · 21/03/2023 06:07

pigalow27 · 21/03/2023 06:18

Cowboys vs Aliens - there was a very good reason no one had created this hybrid genre before

Speedweed · 21/03/2023 06:19

Sex and the City 2.

Lindy West said it best in her review 'if this is modern womanhood, just stick me in a burka and sew up all my holes'.

EggBlanket · 21/03/2023 06:20

The new Luther film on Netflix. They kept jumping ahead in the case with no explanation and would hop from central London to some mystery snow covered mountain range in the blink of an eye. It felt like they had to edit down a 5 hour film into 1.5 hours so just cut huge chunks out.

Greydogs123 · 21/03/2023 06:22

Shark boy and lava girl (in 3d). I was an au pair and took my charges to see it. It’s a terrible film, but made much worse for me by the fact that the 3d glasses didn’t work with my regular glasses, so I couldn’t even see it properly.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 21/03/2023 06:23

Tenet.
Too long, too loud, utterly boring and total shite.
And the worst thing about it are the knobs who claim that 'you didn't understand it' when you tell them it was shite.

forgotmyusername1 · 21/03/2023 06:23

The will ferrell film 'Holmes and Watson. A critic described watching the film as akin to waterboarding. I lasted 20 mins

When my DS was about 5 months, I needed to get out and went to a mother and baby afternoon screening at the Odeon expecting a Mum friendly film, a romcom or something. Instead I got a space adventure which would have been suitable for pre-term boys. I was so disappointed- yes I did go in and see it because I was desperate to do something out of the house. Unforgettably awful!
