Apart from crisps or a spoon of salt 😳

I craved salty stuff when I was pregnant. My favourite snack (but no claims its healthy!) Was pretzels with cream cheese mixed with marmite.

Recently during marathon training I felt quite nauseous after a long run. For several days afterwards I craved either salty or sweet food

Ritz crackers and cheese.
Boiled egg and soldiers with a little salt sprinkled on each spoonful.

Ponderoveryonder · 13/03/2023 11:28

Handful of Frozen edamame blasted in the microwave with soy and a sprinkle of salt

ThoseDamnCrows · 13/03/2023 11:38

Bag of French Fries or PopChips, ok they're in the crisp aisle but they're under 100cals a bag so not too bad.

BogRollBOGOF · 13/03/2023 11:43

I drink oxo with milk and tobasco on the morning of long run days so I've got plenty to sweat out later.

Better than the world starting to start spinning and the energy to fall out.

Salt and vinegar crisps and nuts too.

Floralnomad · 13/03/2023 11:47

The Jacob biscuits with the cheese in the middle , I have Addisons and eat lots of them at times , also salted peanuts .

ThePoshUns · 13/03/2023 11:49

Tomatoes cut in half and sprinkled with salt

MintyCedric · 13/03/2023 11:49

Probably not ideal but I’m rather partial to a spoonful of Bisto Best gravy granules

Oigetoffmylawn · 13/03/2023 12:33

Spoonful of marmite. Dip a wet finger in the salt. Peanut butter on apple.

DanceToTheMusicInMyHead · 13/03/2023 12:37

I had salt cravings in the latter stages of pregnancy. Toast slathered in salted butter with a tin of anchovies mashed in was my go to solution. Sounds hideous now!

MWNA · 13/03/2023 14:33

Miso soup.

MrsTerryPratchett · 13/03/2023 14:34

I have recently discovered Tajin (Ta-heen).

Lime, salt and chili. Put it on apple, jicama, an old shoe, anything.

Oblomov23 · 13/03/2023 14:35

Interesting. I love salty things, like crisps, and crave them. I've tried salty chilli bits and pulses, pop corn etc.

xogossipgirlxo · 13/03/2023 14:35

Instant noodles 😬

thenightsky · 13/03/2023 14:38

Toast with salted butter and marmite.

TessoftheDubonnet · 13/03/2023 14:39

Seaweed
Olives

Try to stay clear of cheese, crisps, pretzels etc.
Though I often fail re. cheese...

Shopaholic100 · 13/03/2023 15:27
