Tradesman job not to standard I expected - what to do

I hired a tradesman through Trustatrader to replace sockets and light switches and I’m not 100% happy with the results and unsure how to handle it. The switches themselves look good but there’s a fair amount of follow up work that will need doing eg scratches and gaps from taking the old ones out.

I’ve given feedback and asked for a price reduction. He’s offered to knock £50 off for Labour.

I have a plasterer doing some other work next week who says he can put everything right and I would rather he completed the job as I know his standard is good.

The electrician has one more socket to fit (one was faulty so he has to re-order) which he says he can do by Tuesday - what should I pay and when?

Or genuinely no problem to be told I’m unreasonable to not expect some mess which needs to be corrected later.

Would it be fair to pay for the parts now and agree a revised labour charge when he’s finished the job? I’m concerned if I pay the lot now there’s no incentive for him to come back.
