When did you get your living room back?

What age did your DC’s toys move from the living room to their own room?

My living room was a room I was once proud to show off but now there are just toys everywhere! It’s certainly not the place of solace and comfort that it once was before DC.

Mine is almost 3 so I know I’ve got a while yet as he wouldn’t play by himself for very long in his room but just looking for a general idea.

When I put the wall back up in between back half and front half! Highly recommend. Now we have a sitting room and so do they!

When they were 5 and 2 we put a stud walk across the centre of the living room!

DS is 9 - no sign of it happening yet. My friend has claimed her back but that's because her kids are mostly into gaming...Fidget toys, model trains and cars all the way here.

Two boys, almost 12 and 17. The toys have (mostly) gone. Now there's Lego technic models on the front of bookshelves. Bloody warhammer models in various stages of being built and painted. (And tools and paint) couple of guitars 🎸 left downstairs and hockey sticks and kendo gear in the hall.
Oh and occasionally a squad of teenagers sprawled around playing dungeons and dragons....loudly...

Although at least they all take their shoes off...(unasked)😂

About 8/9 I think. Bedroom has lots of ikea storage now so toys were in there along with book shelves, desk etc. also have a separate room (study size) for gaming / electronic toys now they're older and want their own space (and I'd prefer them not to be in rooms ALL the time!)
Love having a peaceful living room again with control of the remote!
