Wtf is going on with my face?!

My face looks like this most days and I don’t know why!

I’m late 20s, healthy, don’t drink, don’t work outside or spend more time outdoors than the average person, no allergies, no skin conditions that I know of, not on any new medications.

My face is red, roasting hot and sometimes feels really tight and sore. It’s not all the time but I’ll be at work (not a physical job), or even just sitting on the sofa in the evening and suddenly my face looks and feels like I’ve just run 10km ☹️ when it happens it’s usually just my face, sometimes my ears. The rest of my body is fine (apart from ice-cold fingers and toes all the time!)

Anyone have any answers? Thank you 🥰

If you follow an anti histamine diet it can positively affect rosacea. Worth a try for a few weeks.

@SleekMamma excellent suggestion, this worked for me but by God is it restrictive! it's deffo worth seeing if it works thank you poster, you reminded me to try it again

Check if your face wash contains SLS. I'm allergic to this and get redness if I use face wash containing SLS, plus mouth ulcers if my toothpaste contains it and dry itchy skin, scalp, hands if my body wash, shampoo, hand wash contain it. Just mentioning because I spent years thinking I had rosacea, cut out face wash and got all better

I’m on doxycycline 40mg daily (when I remember) and azelaic acid cream twice a day and things seem to be better, but not sure if it’s partly due to the weather getting warmer!

Try raw coconut oil on your face before bed, I had an awful rash on my face which the Dr diagnosed as seborrheic dermatitis but I actually think it's rosacea as I have another autoimmune condition.
The coconut oil has cleared it right up.
