My 3 year old won’t eat meat

Just looking for some advice on my 3 year old DD. She won’t eat meat, she eats fish, loves all kinds of fish and seafood/shellfish. But I can’t get her to eat meat

She will eat mince in spag bol, sausages and ham. That’s it, even chicken nuggets and normal kid food is out the window as she just seems to hate it, however will eat the Richmond veggie burgers she loves them

I’m just worried about protein intake as I don’t want her lacking anything. She drinks milk and eats plenty of eggs and cheese and yoghurts etc and does take a kids multivitamin.

Any advice on how to ensure she’s getting all she needs even without meat

It sounds like she has a pretty good diet so I wouldn't worry too much.

My DD wouldn't eat meat as a child because she didn't like the texture. She started eating it at school when she had cooked lunches, peer pressure I think. Now at 21 she's back veggie again but eating pretty well (for a student).

Fish, eggs, cheese, and minced beef in bolognese (chilli, cottage pie?) Will be plenty of available protein.
Not eating processed food like chicken nuggets is no issue at all.

Why are you forcing her to eat meat?

She's getting enough protein of she eats fish. And probably a better protein than meat. Stop worrying

Mine doesn't eat a lot of meat, for him it's a sensory issue. Not the taste of meat per se.
I also have a tendency to overcook it, he will eat fish, and I do foil parcels of roast chicken in gravy in the oven which tends to be softer and he will eat happily.

My son was brought up 100% vegetarian and no junk food, he is 40 now, a marathon runner, no fillings, no days off sick ever. He is fit and well.
Even if I ate meat I'd never feed my child on things like chicken nuggets anyway.
