I know I'm going to! Bit pricey to be fair, but a bucket list thing for me.

At minimum £600 a ticket I'd say no. Also looked at hotels and the ones left in the city are 2k a nt aso the same in Manchester.

Sparklybutold · 02/03/2023 13:12

No. But I will make a thing of it at home as we all love Eurovision.

1sttimemummy2022 · 02/03/2023 13:12

No not interested in it

DrMadelineMaxwell · 02/03/2023 13:22

£600!?
In line with previous Eurovision Song Contests, tickets are priced from £30 to £290 for the Semi Final shows and from £80 to £380 for the Grand Final shows.

I'd be looking at a dress rehearsal or semi final show as want to watch it at home as normal with the family.

Planning to have a look when they go on sale, but can't budget for more than the cheap seats really. Not getting my hopes up as not the type to sit there all day pressing refresh!

Thinking the atmosphere around the Eurovision village will be just as much of an experience so will be a good second best.

sofapaddling · 02/03/2023 14:26

yes i will be. though they are much pricier than when i have been previously so i am a bit annoyed. I hope people jumping on the eurovision bandwagon don't buy up all the tickets - seems to have become a bit of a fad recently. Save some for us die hard fans Grin

minou123 · 02/03/2023 14:31

I did think about it, cos I luffs Eurovision 🤗

But, I'm not going to go.
I realised part of why I love Eurovision is because of Graham Norton (and Terry Wogan)
The funny, dry, witty contents are part of my enjoyment and I'll enjoy it more watching it on TV.

But I am very jealous. Hold up a sign with "Hello Mumsnet" and we'll know its you 😁

Lovinmyblanket · 04/03/2023 18:51

@minou123 I thought GN was to be one of the hosts (though don't quote me on it) so you would see him at the actual show too!

Oh on, really?. I know this sounds strange, but I hope he is not one of the hosts.
I love his dry, sarcastic, funny criticisms of the hosts. 😁

Deathraystare · 05/03/2023 17:36

No. Not going but luckily I am doing an early shift that day so can go home and watch it!!!!

TheTurn0fTheScrew · 05/03/2023 17:43

Yup. It's rare that both of my teens fancy doing something together, so I'll throw my hat in the ring. Unfortunately we can only make the show itself due to other commitments, as I think I would have preferred to watch the Saturday afternoon rehearsal and then go home to watch the live broadcast. It's an easy drive for us so no hotel to factor in.

catherinewales · 05/03/2023 17:55

Yes especially as it's on my door step. I'm so excited to have an opportunity to watch it live. I do want the final tickets. If we don't get them we definitely go the village. Tickets are ranging from £80 to £380 so I've read locally.

Summerhillsquare · 05/03/2023 18:30

I'd love to but am too far away and have already clocked the insane hotel prices.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 05/03/2023 19:44

Luckily it's 40 mins on the car/train to from home so we don't need to try and stay over. 18yo DD thinks it will be cool to go, but I do enjoy sitting at home watching the full show with my family. DH and my other DD aren't interested in the experience, but a friend is. So between us we are trying to get tickets either for the Fri preview show or one of the dress rehearsals.

No I wouldn’t go. Love Eurovision but I’d be concerned tbh as wouldnt put it past certain people to sabotage it with some kind of nerve agent / polonium

TheYearOfSmallThings · 05/03/2023 19:50

I would love to go to the final show, but I could never justify the cost of a good ticket so I will just have to enjoy it on TV as usual.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 05/03/2023 19:51

I know a few lifelong Eurovision fans who will be going though!

PlaitBilledDuckyPuss · 05/03/2023 19:51

No, much more fun to watch from the comfort of my sofa.

NeedSomeSpace · 05/03/2023 19:53

We're going to try to get tickets for the Saturday afternoon preview so we can go on the train there and back in a day.

Davros · 05/03/2023 20:12

No. It's rubbish

MobyJeff · 05/03/2023 20:14

No, should have been binned years ago.

Ooh, what is the village?

Ridikulus · 05/03/2023 20:19

No. I saw All the local hotels and air b&bs got booked up as soon as the venue was announced which put me off.
