Who changes the loo roll in your house?

It's me here. At the very most someone else puts a new roll on top of the holder and leaves the old empty one on the holder. Sometimes leaving the remains of the old roll on there. It's like no one wants to use the last of the loo roll. There are 4 people perfectly capable of changing the loo roll. The holder is really easy to use so there's not an excuse there.

Whoever finishes the last one, including the ( year old.

we just have a wicker basket of loo rolls in each loo/bathroom. So if someone finishes one they will just grab another and shove it on the holder. It’s not a big deal . I tend to fill the wicker baskets though, but sometimes I just leave packs of loo roll and someone grabs them and fills a basket

JunkinDonuts · 26/02/2023 20:53

Whoever used the last one up.
The spares are in the holder under the one being used though, so no excuse not to replace.

Op just put a basket of loo rolls in the loos/bathrooms and a little waste basket.

DS2 - we have a family joke that he's the loo roll monitor Grin

MustardCress · 26/02/2023 22:06

Whoever finishes the old one.. and remembers to get another. So this was me 5 minutes ago!

We are currently short of space so in the uncomfortable situation of only having one out at a time. It’s a dangerous game

AnneLovesGilbert · 26/02/2023 22:07

Whomever finishes it. My 3 year old is especially keen on doing it at the moment and I’m sure she’s using more bog roll than necessary so she can change it more often. Swings and roundabouts…

Theoldwoman · 26/02/2023 22:09

In this house, it’s whoever uses up the old one.

AdoraBell · 26/02/2023 22:12

Here the person who finishes the roll replaces it.

YouCantTourniquetTheTaint · 26/02/2023 22:15

Because the loo is so close to the wall, and there's a radiator where the loo roll holder would go, they're just stacked on the radiator. Totally unhelpful I know.

ItsOKToFeelProud · 26/02/2023 22:40

Used to be me but got pissed off going in to empty roll.
I got so annoyed when that happens i got a new roll use what I need and took it back.
teen or dh then went in and shouted there's no loo roll when they've realised too late.. ' i dont hear them haha'
(The spares are in cupboard in our room as bathroom has no storage.)
They soon learnt!

ItsOKToFeelProud · 26/02/2023 22:40

So that's meant as now whoever uses last of it replaces

MustardColeDrow · 26/02/2023 22:41

Whoever finishes the old roll. From a young age my children were taught to take the empty tube off and put it into the sink. Then when you go to wash your hands you tuck it under your armpit and it then goes directly into the recycling. If this is in the middle of the night then it goes onto the landing but they always remove it.

Obviously there have been times when they haven't done this but no way I am doing it for them so if no one admits to doing it they both come back to the bathroom together, one of them picks up the empty tube and they both walk it to the recycling bin in the kitchen.

It is easier because the children have their own bathroom so one of them is responsible.
