Describe how you think I'll feel if I change my life for the better

I'm really crap at imagining feelings. I try to imagine how I might feel if I genuinely lose weight, get fit, eat healthier and do something positive about my financial situation. It feels like I'll be just as I am now only with having to put a whole load more effort in daily. Will I really feel different (better) if I make these changes? Have you changed your life and did it make you feel better?

Do you need to imagine that far ahead? Sometimes if you put effort into thinking ahead too far it can make you amplify how crap you feel about where you are right now. How will you feel in 20 minutes if you get up and do some exercise? Yes I think you will feel better, but it’s all about fine-tuning your attention to how you feel in the moment - the present moment is all their is and all you need to think about.

Read or listen to Atomic Habits by James Clear. Really helped me make gradual positive changes in 2021, which have stuck. Feel calmer, fitter and happier overall.
