I don't really like going out in the evening- is it just me?

I have three children, 4.5yo and under.

Tonight I have a night out with 5 of my school friends. We're all married, kids etc, so we're all in the same boat of routine, young children etc.

I just can't be bothered. I never can. I would much rather curl up on the sofa with a movie, scrolling Mumsnet, a glass of red, no make up on.

It won't be a late one because I'll drive and I'll go because I know when I'm there it'll be fine. But that said if anyone cancelled I'd be delighted!

Do I need to lighten up. Is this normal!?

Since having DC I’m a bit precious about sleep tbh. I’ve become paranoid about time because mine was such a terrible sleeper. I do much prefer going out in the day. It wouldn’t have bothered me pre DC. I think I have so little headspace to myself that quiet time at home is really nice.

I don’t know if I’m just tired, if it’s age etc. I just know that I’ll have to up at 5:45 in the morning and functional. I quite like curling up with a book in bed now in the evening and dread doing anything that will make me late home. I still go and enjoy myself but I’m always spent afterwards, but I’m an introvert really so not that surprising.
