Very painful urinating - ring 111 or wait till Monday?

I am very susceptible to UTIs but it’s never been this painful before when going to the loo. It feels as if the pain is inside and physically hurts, and for a while afterwards too. I don’t know what the cause could be. I was due on my period yesterday. I stupidly had unprotected sex last week (he didn’t orgasm) and I’ve already done an STI test which is negative for everything.

I don’t know whether to ring 111 and try get an out of hours GP appointment or wait until Monday to see my own GP, and try and drink loads of water in the meantime and not cry when I go to the loo. AIBU if I did ring 111?

Nitro does not treat kidney infections.

@Sharereportbookmark I am going to call GP again tomorrow as I have zero appetite, a funny tummy, an awful headache and no energy.

Looking at side effects of Nitro sickness and vomiting is a common side effect, it also says it’s a powerful antibiotic so you’ve got to give it time to work.

Did you manage to see the GP today, OP?
