What state do you leave your house in when you go to work?

Breakfast dishes in the sink? Dirty PJs on the floor? Do you make your bed? Are your kids’ beds made?

I find that I struggle to leave any washing up, clothes etc around. I hate coming home and having to tidy up.

I wfh and leave it like that every day.

My DH usually cleans the kitchen at lunchtime.

My bed is made and bed clothes folded and put away. Kids don't always do same despite nagging but I'm not doing it for them. Kitchen the dishwasher is stacked and side generally wiped.

I like to out away any dry laundry or at least in the basket ready to be folded. I put laundry on when I'm at home for the day.

I try to make sure washing up is done but on some occasions I don't have time.
I make beds
If I have time I'll put a wash load in
But toys are generally scattered over the floor in living room and up on the landing, however I've usually picked them up several times already over the space of the morning but as I am getting dressed and ready DS just gets them all back out and basks in his toys ambiance until we cash out the door as I'm usually running late for work!

Making the bed is the first win of the day
I hate to come home and see an unmade need, partners clothes on the bed, half worn clothes on the floor.
I also make the children's bed before I leave our flat. How difficult is it to make a bed?
I'll vacuum of I get a chance or even clean a bathroom. Not difficult.

A household of shift workers

Cannot make the bed if someone is still in it !
Out of house 06:20am
12 hour day shift

Or out of house 18:20
Working 12 hour nights

The chores get done, but in a different way compared to people that do not work shifts

We sometimes leave notes requesting chores to be done

On WFH days I do quick tidy up when I get back from nursery drop off. On office days it gets left until evening. I hate mornings and have to leave at 7.30. Just getting ready kills us.

But dishes are straight in dishwasher always anyway.

Don’t make beds, can’t be bothered and there’s usually a cat or two in the way.

I feed all the animals, get child ready and me. That’s all I have the energy for but the house is relatively tidy.

WFH so no need!

I do try and make the bed, leave breakfast dishes next to sink and not have anything on the floor
