Hmm, yes, I'd say they dont all need to be friends. However, if I was friends with Harry Potter and Lord Vetinari, I could get Harry to introduce Vetinari to Dumbledore, and between they'd have Voldemort wrapped up by book three.

Hmm. Do they have to be friends with one another too? Because I can’t imagine Mrs Dalloway and Mary Poppins being able to stand one another for longer than about five minutes. Unless Paddington could reconcile them.

I chose mine because I think we would all get. Marple and Romanova are the alphas of the group while me and Patsy are fun loving fuckwits.Grin

Captain Raymond Holt (Brooklyn 99)
Joyce from Thursday Murder Club
Lucifer Morningstar
...quite eclectic but covers all bases!

Alecia Tarrabotti from the Gail Carriger Parasol protectorate series (steampunk based books) the descriptions are just joyous of high class Victoriana with a steam punk twist

Withnail, Alexis Colby and Edina Monsoon. All monsters, but very entertaining :) and surely Alexis needed a real friend!

As a kid, I wanted to be Minty from Moondial's friend. I fantasized extensively about having a best friend called Araminta!

I have a soft spot for Spock (try saying that after a few Sunday drinks 🤣). I also think Blackadder would be good for a laugh. And Harry Hotspur from Henry IV part 1. Be interesting to see how the latter two get on.

Lucy from The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe - I'd get to have tea with Mr. Tumnus and meet Mr. and Mrs. Beaver and Aslan etc. It would be pretty cool.

Jo Marsh from Little Women 'cos I love books and I'd love to have a writer as a friend. And I could meet the rest of the Marsh family (except for Beth Sad) and Laurie and go ice skating with them all.

Phyllis Crane 'cos she'd be first person I'd turn to if I needed advice or help with anything.

Jackie from Friday Night Dinners. We could drink wine together and she'd tell me all the local gossip and I'd sympathise with Martin's latest exploits. Also, she makes a mean apple crumble.

Poldark to shag.

It could be a very long list but I'll stop at 5.

Carrie Bradshaw
Miranda Hobbes
Samantha Jones easy!

1 Lorelai Gilmore
2 Roz Doyle in Frasier
3 Dorothy Zbornak, obviously I'd get to be friends with the other ones as well.

I considered Lorelai but I'd end up stabbing her for being so chirpy first thing in the morning.

Saschka · 16/07/2023 23:17

Lizzie Bennett

Becky Sharp

Signora Madeline Neroni

If any of them were busy, Moll Flanders.

I want my friends to have a sense of humour, and not to take themselves too seriously.

I had forgotten that about her but I would have loved to live somewhere like Stars Hollow so I could probably overlook that and just meet up later in the day.
Jackie from your list would probably be a great friend.

Nanny Og
Sookie Stackhouse
Tyrion Lannister
