Endometrial ablation experience?

9 days ago I had an endometrial

ablation (Novasure) plus a fibroid removed. The first few days I had minimal
spotting as expected. A few after that abs about 2 days before my period was to arrive I started getting more normal period flow, although significantly less than normal (which was insane). I am guessing I just got my period early now as i has been consistent for four days and went from watery to red.
I was hoping that I would be one of the lucky ones who never got a period again.
trying to figure out how you can still bleed so soon after an ablation. I understand that the lining could eventually grow back over time but I was not expecting this.
Can anyone share their experiences with this ?

Hi, OP - I had the same procedure in late 2017, for the same reasons. I was disappointed to have a very heavy period bang on schedule within a month of my endometrial ablation, but it was followed four weeks later by the first "normal" period I'd had in years, and then...NOTHING for 12 months!

After that, I had just three very, very light two-day periods between Jan 2019 and March 2020. Peace, perfect peace ever since.

Just to put it in context, I was already 54 when I had the op, so the gynaecologist thought there was a good chance of it (finally!) triggering the menopause for me. I don't know what age you are, but I'll keep my fingers crossed that your experience follows a similar pattern if that's what you're really wishing for. 🙂

Thank you! I’m 50 so I would not mind at all if this triggers the entire system from shutting down, although they do say this procedure has zero effect in hormone production.

I had a ablation 2 years ago, all my periods stops and it has been great, but all of a sudden about 2 months ago I started having small bleeds and I am getting some pelvic pain, I am also getting some bloody discharge. Does anyone know if this is the ablation failure.
