Just that really.
There seems to be very conflicting thoughts on soup as an evening meal.
We quite often have soup, with hotdogs, burgers (yep you read that right, thanks mum Smile) or toasties.....

I love Avgolemono too - it's one of my regular soups. Really filling and comforting. I have it on rotation with Greek red lentil, miso squash, chicken fajita (the DC's favourite) and whatever is soup of the month. Currently short rib borsch, perfect in cold weather with some Russian mustard or horseradish 😋.

I have just put Avgolemono on my meal plan for next week. I think the (fussy) Dcs will love it.

I went to a friend's house gor a Christmas do with a few others and that is exactly what she served with bread, cheese and crackers.

It was deliciously filling and definitely sufficed as a meal.

Now I am a supporter of soup for supper, but for a Christmas lunch I am not.
