It is beautiful being a mum, I have a two-year-old son that just makes me live for every day that comes. I am 36 years old and soon to be 37, a first-time mum, and new to everything, my friends have children and asked me if I would have any more??? I said no! Why?? because it is a rise in of cost living and I can just get by now as you can imagine. So my partner's sister-in-law has 5 children 3 from previous partners and 2 from a current partner who is my partner's older brother now they have been trying for a baby to find she is finally pregnant ok congratulations but this a mother that has never done a days job in her life and the baby dad is 41 and can't hold a job down and forever asking to borrow money and don't pay back and the pair of them keyboard warriors their home is just a mess and smells of wee... why bring a baby into the world if you can't afford to live yourself then how you going survive with a newborn, especially in this day and age

This post really needs punctuation?

Is incredibly irresponsible, dont loan any money! I would cut her off if I was you I feel sorry for the children.

Ylvamoon · 08/02/2023 17:58

I'm glad that some people are sooo irresponsible that others can look down on them from their moral high ground.

We should just remember, while wagging that finger, that what is high up might just topple down one day!

This is a ridiculous comment 🙄 obviously people will judge, Why would someone try for another baby with no financial means to support that child? 5 children is enough she is already asking for handouts.

Having an extra child is not worth the £250ish you get from the government each month😂maybe for an extra 10 grand pm id do it 😂

You wouldn't even get that for a 6th child, only CN. So £14 per week ish

Have you lost your full stop?

I was thinking. Marbles!

sunshinenroses · 08/02/2023 19:26

@MillicentTrilbyHiggins oh my gosh, well precisely then. No one is having children for the cash benefits!

LoobyDop · 08/02/2023 19:32

Bloody keyboard warriors.

Penguinsaregreat · 08/02/2023 19:39

Do not lend them money.

your first sentence solves this conundrum

being a mum is beautiful and so plenty of women have an innate desire for children - doesn't stop cos you are poor or ill or feckless

An “innate desire” does not need to be acted on. People who continue having kids they can’t afford - and expect others to provide for - are entitled, reckless, and stupid.

THIS

@MillicentTrilbyHiggins depends if her eldest has stopped getting benefits due to being over 18 and she doesn’t want to lose that money.

For a 6th child the oldest 5 would have to be over 18. You can only claim for 2 children. (Other than CB as I stated)
So assuming most of the DC are under 18 she will get the massive sum of £14 per week.
