This time it looks like she was caught out in regard to addiction faking.

She posted a photo claiming they were of her recovery chip thingies and it was noted that 1 of them was for Cocaine Anonymous and another was for Narcotics anonymous.

She'd denied cocaine use earlier.

Early January she was in the Guardian saying she'd blown to s of donated money on Drink, tramadol and Cotswolds sideboards.
Seems the oddities of her stories are catching up with her.

Or a devious chancer that's raking in as much as 30k a month of other people's money for doing nothing?

She is a patronising, middle class do gooder. Except she doesn’t actually do any good.

Though there were people giving her a portion of the little they had, believing her to be in genuine want. I'm sure I read that she returned one such payment, it may have come from disability benefits but I do t remember.

She refunded a couple of payments recently after being threatened with the small claims court. Before that, she just blocked anyone who asked for a refund.

There's screenshots of people living on carers giving her money.

I don't admire her fleecing poor people. Or being such a bad mother.

It's another nail in the coffin for me so to speak, their status is weaponised too much against those of us who just want to exist and try and get through life. Every time they do something harmful, it's a slap in the face.
What does this mean, exactly? Who is preventing you peacefully existing and just getting through life?

I do think some of the shite she peddles is actively harmful to those who suffer from those conditions. For example, I have a family member with ADHD and she wouldn’t dream of using it as an excuse to not provide things she’s promised, or to spend other peoples money on shit she doesn’t need. By weaponising these things, she’s perpetuating harmful stereotypes. She has over half a million Twitter followers and has a duty to think about the impact of her words.

Her behaviour reminds me a lot of a relative who has a personality disorder. They lied a lot and made bad decisions as well, but the right treatment has helped a lot. It wasn’t really their fault, they were unwell and I suspect the same about her.

She has been caught either lying or making up different scenarios for being diagnosed as autistic (in childhood and in adulthood different stories)
I don't know if I believe she is genuinely diagnosed but I do believe she genuinely has mental health problems and / or is ND.

Being caught out lying about sobriety chips is just embarrassing, also caught lying about the bathtub of coins, the photographer released a video showing it was mostly cushions and photoshop

I personally think she is a very dangerous person.
The only reason her scam has not blown up is because she has parents that support her and bail her out.
Also the father of her son is the primary residential parent, and is not going public with the car crash parent she is because she is his child’s mother. He is a decent person .
I think it’s purely because of her son that her family are not calling out her lies. She has given the impression that not only her but also her son have been living in abject poverty. This is obviously not the case.

yes I do agree she has been scamming people, but I do think what she has done and said about her family and friends is far worse.

I think the truth is she is a drink and drug addict, and that this provides the reason for her behaviour. As everyone knows you cannot help an addict. They need to help themselves.

I am not knowledgeable about this subject but people are saying the prescription drugs she listed interact badly with each other and would not be prescribed together.

The thing I never understood is that the recipes that I tried were diabolically bad.

There is definitely a need for budget friendly, healthy, home made food, but the recipes of hers that I tried were dreadful, and the thought that they might be being given out by foodbanks, as I read somewhere, so people with very limited resources might be cooking them really was alarming!!

For example if she is frying something in a pan, she never preheats the pan or adds the oil first to get it hot before adding food, in it all goes stone cold. I mean this is lesson 1 in cooking, surely.

Grating Spam (!) with a cheese grater was another baffling idea.

She did a 'recipe' involving boiling a kettle, adding the water to raw dry macaroni in a mug, giving it a stir and putting a lid on for the pasta to 'cook' through (it doesn't, obviously). She suggests then pouring the water out, boiling the kettle again and doing it again (and again until soft).

I have a friend with anorexia who basically eats bugger all and exists on these strangely chemical build up drinks that the GP makes her drink, and she has a very strange relationship with food which is kind of akin to a toddler playing in a mud kitchen..... I do wonder if something similar might be going on here.

Last night was a shit show in which

• she made a disgusting “joke” about domestic violence
• was caught lying about her medications
• was caught lying about being addict

None of it is anything new, she’s been at this sort of shit for a very long time and is, at the very least, a compulsive liar, totally unhinged and not fit to be around her son.

I think Google is her source for most of her 'ailments' like shes googled Autistic and seen about being literal and truthful etc. That's enough for her to claim she cannot lie and she is always literal, even though there's lots of figuratives in her writings.
It wouldn't surprise me if she's actually convinced herself she has ADHD and autism and arthritis after googling too much.

There was no RA medication in the list of those she takes.

I think she should consider herself incredibly lucky to have got where she did. It was only due to her blog being noticed at the time of austerity, luck, not talent or skill. She's a palatable poor person for the wealthy to head pat.
I'd say she's a lefty, but she isn't. Promoted by right wing papers and paid by Tory think tanks.

She fits in with the idea that poor people are poor because they mismanage their finances and what they need is recipes for 2p dinners and to take out all their lightbulbs. What she does helps no one but her.

The problem is she can’t decide what her USP is now. She made her name from being poor. She now isn’t poor. Which is absolutely fine, she’s made a living for herself, and with 7 cook books to her name, speaking gigs etc I don’t think anyone would begrudge her a decent income. However, she makes a lot of money from being poor, so she doesn’t want to admit to now having made a decent living because it reduces her income streams. So she’s simultaneously buying herself luxury goods, living in a large 3 bed house etc while also telling everyone she can’t afford to buy shampoo and is unscrewing her lightbulbs (along with a link to her PayPal account of course).

It’s ridiculous that someone who says she is in financial dire straits should be giving others advice on how to manage their money.

Yes, she doesn’t know what she is at all. Problem is she obviously makes a good deal of money from donations so she won’t admit what she earns. We don’t question if other TV /author chefs/experts are making enough money to survive, but she’s the only one who makes out it’s not enough to live on.

The fact she has managed to stretch this ‘thing’ out for 10 years or so is incredibly surprising.

She was heavily promoted in certain areas of the media as she is good looking, young (or was at the time she got noticed) and also has a true narcissist's ability to tap into buzzwords and trends (eg being non binary, which gave her the opportunity for an eye catching guardian photoshoot). I am a bleeding heart lefty, even (horror) a middle class one, but I can see how shallow and gullible a certain strand of left wing journalism is when a vaguely pretty face they can tack their politics onto turns up. She loved the attention as a narcissist will and now she can't let go of it but isn't competent enough to manage anything properly including her own image. It's actually a sad tale, particularly for her son. Narcs always use their children as objects and to gain leverage.

She can manage the admin involved in setting up a patreon account to earn herself the cash though (just not fulfilling any of the rewards).
