Anyone else following this? I'm disgusted but wondering why her account hasn't been banned?

I think her original rant has been deleted but it's still being shared around, then there was a fake apology, now we have another 'apology'

Why do these creators get away with this? There's a petition going round to get her banned but where is the threshold for this type of thing?

OP posts:

The fyp page is the ‘For You Page’ isn’t it? So it makes sense it wouldn’t be all over everyone fyp.

I made the mistake of watching a couple of tarot readers throw cards about telling everyone they were going to be millionaires. Currently, mine is full of tarot readers assuring me good things are coming and random ‘witch-Tok’ posts.

seen nothing about this.

But from what you say, from what I understand about tiktok, it’s not going to get her banned. If people really wanted to do something about this they would block her so she doesn’t appear on their fyp anymore and she (personally) gets very little views of any of her videos. Interacting with someone’s videos, makes their account overall more popular and their videos will be pushed to more people. Not watching content about someone or their actual content would do more than getting her banned and her opening another account.

Any attention is good attention on there.

My ds is disabled, I was very upset by this evil woman. I come across a lot of discrimination in society and its horrible. Things like this must be challenged so not sure why the OP is being attacked.

Jennybeans401 · 29/01/2023 06:15

@DressingForRevenge the problem is a lot of people especially young people 'watch these stupid videos' and the fact that a social media giant is allowing it says a lot about how society still thinks its okay to mock disabled people.

DressingForRevenge · 29/01/2023 06:47

That’s the nature of the internet in general I’m afraid.

It’s our job as parents to lead our children - not expect digital behemoths to do it for us.

im disabled and my son is. I give zero fucks what some numbskull on social media says. 🤷‍♀️ If you think you can control what a Chinese platform finds permissible, knock yourself out. Or delete the app and play a game with your child instead.

No need to look her up it's shared and dueted all over, she won't get hits

She said if her unborn child is disabled she would leave it in the hospital as a vegetable has no life if it can't walk, talk or move, it's not for her etc she was laughing with her partner when comparing disabled kids to vegetables. She was mocking and in hysterics laughing.

Can't understand why she is still on the app and not banned

She doesn't sound very brigh having a disabled child isn't what mos people or would wish for and isn't always detectable either prenatally,or at birth

it was only when my son failed to.reach his milestones we realised there was a problem and he has complex disabilities, but he's very loved, and neither myself or my dh could ever contemplate abandoning him.

sorrynotathome · 29/01/2023 08:37

So now you’ve found something offensive you want the person banned. What about all the other crap on there that’s offensive to other people? It’s all designed to make money, so don’t be surprised that your precious feelings aren’t relevant.

GardeningGirlAgain · 29/01/2023 08:59

I agree op. A very nasty post from this creator which now appears to have backfired on her!

Blindsandcurtains · 29/01/2023 09:05

Backfired spectacularly on her. She made a living from tik tok along with her parent. It’s all gone. Katie Price is also very vocal about the video.

LollipopViolet · 29/01/2023 09:18

She sounds vile and I'm not going to look her up - currently my fyp is full of figure skating videos and I'd rather keep it that way.

However, it's not just TikTok. I'm disabled, and I've reported things on numerous platforms that amount to disability hate speech, only to be told they don't go against community standards.

We're expected to just put up and shut up, and let people say exactly what they want about us. It's infuriating.
