Two weeks, somewhere hot and not too far, where would you go in February?

Just that... I've been ill and realise that I'll recuperate best if I have a couple of weeks in the sun, just relaxing, swimming, reading, perhaps some gentle walking.

Where would you go? As a solo traveller - somewhere middle range or reasonable value?

I wouldn’t go to Egypt as a single woman either, unless I wanted to staff in a hotel for a fortnight.

I have been as single women as part of a larger organised tour.

Canaries is hot in February. Tenerife is definitely shorts and T-shirt weather. There might be a few cooler days of 19c, but on average it is 23-26c and pure sunshine so it feels much hotter.

Hmmm... cape town appealing but feels too far for just two weeks.... but I’ll take a look!
I have been two times, both in February, first time for 8 nights, second for 3 nights! There is no jet lag.
If you want somewhere you can walk around I’d pick Canaries if you want to chill in a warm resort and do some day trips I’d pick a cheapish Caribbean island such as Dominican Republic. I’d also suggest a cruise.

What about Goa or Kerala? Not as far as Thailand and cheap when you get there

South half of Tenerife. 4 1/2 hour flight from London. Getting out to walk, shop etc. fine.

Sharm el Sheikh. 5 1/2 hour flight. I’d find it more challenging culturally out alone, and not just because I have Spanish.
