i Saw no one had replied I was about to post the same question did u go ahead with the form in the end?

Zrose · 18/09/2023 00:10

I’ve applied however I’m wondering if there are some extra checks that need to be done because my claim states it’s only supporting 2 children still

JMRose · 23/11/2023 11:43

I first applied in march my form had gone missing four times and their saying their going to process my claim without it, I think no one knows what it’s for or what to do with it . It’s also like how many times do they want me to tell a stranger my darling child who I adore was conceived without my consent. I don’t know if they phone the person named on the form because of confidentiality all they could do is confirm they did sign it so it’s a bit of an odd process. Has your support been updated yet?

i asked my health visitor did they call him as he’s the one who co-signed and he said no.

I’ve been calling for months, they’ve stopped replying on my journal just no update whatsoever. I’m just getting more & more frustrated with the whole thing.

JMRose · 24/11/2023 14:27

Hi chick so I went job centre today they called my case manager and she inputted it all then and there and issue a back payment only took 10 months 🤦‍♀️ so maybe just go a make a bit of a fuss they find the whole thing very awkward and they didn’t call the midwife eveyone thinks the form Is a disgrace

AJTE · 29/12/2023 20:18

Currently going through this submitted my form 2 weeks ago. After nagging about when and who the 'special team' was that they had said it needed to be sent to was, they approved today and added to claim. But when I queried a back pay to date of change she got all flustered. And will be sending it for a mandatory reconsideration. They tend to avoid back pay by the sound of things as it can equate to a large lump. How did you both get on

Zrose · 30/12/2023 01:17

They told me some information was missing from my form and to send it back in haven’t heard anything yet that was a couple weeks ago

Zrose · 04/03/2024 21:38

After resending in December, I have chased again (she’s 9 months at this point), they informed me today that one of their handlers assured them they sent it but they can’t find it 😑 luckily I’d taken a pic of the form before sending this time and they have let me upload it straight on the universal portal. so now to wait again!

Zrose · 05/03/2024 20:41

Update: confirmation letter and payment backdate to come. Thank you God because it’s been a struggle.

AJTE · 06/03/2024 19:35

That's great news. I am still waiting on backdate at MR for a couple of months now

SammieDee · 08/06/2024 04:39

Hi

I am going through this process myself. Despite searching hours for answers online, I was wondering if they backdate payments? And how far? Only my 3rd child is 5 in September, and the advisor advised via my journal to make change of circumstances, on my sons birth date as fit reasons for application too. I've literally never been.told about this exemption, despite my circumstances being known. 5years backpay would be lovely. Bur wishful thinking I think.

Thabk you

Zrose · 08/06/2024 09:17

good morning

I’m not sure how far they backdate it as mine was granted around the time she was 10 months but yes mine was back dated all the way to her birth.

Aquariusbaby84 · 02/10/2024 13:48

Wondering if anyone successfully had this backdated I wasn't told about the ncc1 and my child's except but she's 7 years old now. The tax credits call handler told me they would try to get the money backdated for me when my application is successfully completed ..my husband at the time was removed from the family home when she was 13 weeks old for DV . Will they backdate the money she's been entitled to ? I'm moving to UC in one month and have tje form.completed by the same professional to upload to them.also for my new claim . Any advice greatly appreciated

Zrose · 02/10/2024 18:20

Mine was backdated however I’m unsure how it would work in your case as you weren’t on UC at the time of birth if that makes sense

Aquariusbaby84 · 02/10/2024 21:20

I'm not on UC yet ,I've been on tax credits since time of birth and will be moving to uc in 4 weeks. Tax credits told me to fill the form in twice send them one and then send UC one for my fresh new claim . So hopefully tax credits sort the past out and uc going forward . In theory both will be informed and sent the ncc1 forms signed off by my GP

Mumoffour711 · 04/02/2025 16:08

Did any of you get it backdated to your child’s birth after a few years?

shejokes11 · 05/08/2025 01:20

Hey guys what proof do I need for this please x

Starburstzco · 07/04/2026 11:25

Hi all, I've approached my gp with the above form and he said he needs to get it checked to see if he can fill it in. Is this the process? There's no one else I can ask if he doesn't fill it in.

MaxGracie · 07/04/2026 18:33

my health visitor signed mine. She was aware of the history.

Thank you my gp did it. Did you manage to get it backdated? I'm hoping it's not stressful. Thank you

MaxGracie · 08/04/2026 22:12

Yes it will get backdated just make sure you ask for it.

Thank you. Finger crossed. What was the time frame like for you from submitting the form to getting the money backdated?

Starburstzco · 22/04/2026 17:28

Hi again, so they refused my backdate request, can I ask for some advice please?
