Can I stop claiming UC?

Basically got a job that gives me more per year than UC does, but I still get a UC top up. My DC is aged under 10 but only just so I want to come off UC completely as I don’t want to be forced to work more hours.

DC has a medical condition and SN so I work part time to be around for them, they do not get DLA as I’ve applied so many times and it be rejected that I’ve given up with it.

I have been told that due to my DC I have to stay on UC, and that if I don’t the job centre will report me to SS. Which I’m a bit worried about as School say I don’t take part in school related activities (i.e. I don’t go to the fayres or fundraisers, I do go to sports days and parents evenings and plays though) and they often blame me for DCs SN.

I just want to stop my UC claim and be left to live my life. My job doesn’t involve progression or more money but I’m happy, I can afford my bills and DC never goes without. I also have savings now so if I lost my job I could manage for a few months without UC until another came along or after a few months I'd claim UC if I couldn't find anything

I’m a single parent so that’s why I get UC top up but I’d rather not claim as I can manage without it as I also get CM from my DCs dad.

I work from home 25 hours a week and earn around £25k if that’s relevant.

Iv requested to close the claim so now it’s appeared in journal how will I know when it’s closed? Do I need to do anything else?
