I decided to do a test today and thought I was probably being stupid and getting my hopes up but there it was after over 7 years of ttc it was positive.
I have of course done another 2 tests just to be sure 😂

Eek I just needed to tell someone. Husband is on a late shift and not home for at least another hour!

I'm a bit worried about the doctors strike I hope it won't affect you x

I've been quietly following your thread OP having posted in the early days, I'm a fertility treatment veteran, my unexpected conception is 16 now...

I got rather excited yesterday morning when it looked like it was going to happen as it was my birthday yesterday, and it's a scientific fact that fantastic people are born on 1st Oct 😀 My daughter's birthday is a couple of days later and she always insists the best people are born in the first week of this month 😀

Thinking of you and hoping all is going well right now. I'll be back later hoping for a photo of a small foot or tiny hand or similar, if you're prepared to do that. My days of having babies are gone sadly so like many on this thread I'm living my life vicariously through women like you!

Oh - you really got me at the hat and nappy!
It’s really happening. Not long until you hold that little person in your arms and experience that rush of love like no other

What a beautiful baby! Oh congratulations!! 💐

Marcasite · 03/10/2023 22:36

Welcome to the world, Zachary. He’s a little treasure! Congratulations to you & your husband, OP! I’m so delighted to hear this news. Having had a planned Caesarean for my first baby, I can advise that not being able to drive for 6 weeks just means that you compensate by little local walks which will assist your recovery. All best wishes to you and yours. 💐💐💐

mrswarthog · 03/10/2023 22:36

That picture made me tear up - he is absolutely beautiful perfection. So many congratulations to you all. Here's to a good recovery and onto life as a family of 3.

I'm sure you know the name Zachary means 'the lord remembered' - whether or not you are a believer, I have to think that after 7 years of trying, you were not forgotten, in the end.

8stone13 · 03/10/2023 22:42
