Has anyone got a bidet toilet? And would you recommend it?

Hoping to have a new bathroom fitted this year and would really like a bidet toilet.

Just after some real-life recommendations really! If you've got one, do you like it? Where did you get it? How much was it?

Prices seems to vary quite wildly!

TIA.

Are you after a proper wash and dry you toilet? Have you actually tried one out? I always thought I would like one but we stayed at a hotel a couple of years ago and they had one and it just freaked me out.

Geberit are a good brand. They have been around for a long while now so know what they are doing. And they're what a lot of councils use for their disabled adaptations for bidet toilets.

Which type do you mean? European bidet, bum guns as seen in Asia, or the Japanese fully electric toto style?

We have a European bidet, but no one uses it, small children have repurposed it as a sink they can reach. We have bum guns that everyone uses. Honestly they are amazing. We bought ours from an independent bathroom showroom but actually you can buy them on amazon.

Loving the name Bum Guns 🔫

We tend to call them Muslim showers or douche sprays!

All I know is we don't have room for a separate bidet so would like an in-toilet option. Pref. with a warm water option!

I haven't tried one but I often will use a squeezy bottle a bit like Muslims do, sometimes you just don't feel clean, y'know?

We have recently renovated and have one in what will be our en-suite. Its an all-in-one, Japanese style one- not a separate toilet then bidet. I'm not living in the house properly yet but I will look up details of brand/price etc tomorrow when more awake- so place marking for now.

This is the link to what we have- Vitra brand. They had 3 styles of the same one- a basic, middle of the road and bells and whistles. I 'think' we got the middle of the road one on sale for about £1200 last year. Ours it wall hung, rimless, comfort height and the best bit it was the warmed seat.

As said in my previous post above, I've only used it a few times so far and still working out the controls. The fan dryer doesn't seem strong enough- so unless you sit there for 5mins or more, I still feel wet and need to use toilet paper. I've never used a bidet before, so it was on a bit of a whim when renovating. It does feel clean/fresh after using it though.
