Once famous for my posh style chocolate bread and butter pudding, which I served at a dinner and for weeks was accosted in the village by strangers whom had heard of it and wanted the recipe.

For a wearing slinky silver summer ball gown to summer balls and refusing to dance with married or attached men.

Am older now and known for being nice, being kind, always friendly and having a memory that an elephant would be envious. I remember everything, conversations, faces, expressions.. sometimes this is a curse.

Work wise, integrity. All good until asked ( ordered ) to won't bend the law. Then I polish up my cv. Looking now...

sleepingbuddha · 22/01/2023 21:06

tommika · 22/01/2023 21:07

I was vaporised by a UFO on cable TV

larchforest · 22/01/2023 21:10

According to MIL - the sheer number of different vegetables I can summon up and serve with a roast dinner. She mentions it every time.

LadyGaGasPokerFace · 22/01/2023 21:14

I’m’famous’ in my hometown for working in a supermarket in my student days. I’m 47 now but have many random people say, ‘I remember you from X supermarket’ it’s weird.

I am famous for the best summer party. When school breaks up we invite friends to out summer party, it’s legendary and I get compliments on my cooking.

Twwodoorsaway · 22/01/2023 21:21

I was the quoted “expert” in a Guardian article about my profession a few years ago. The journalist phoned work but I had to check it wasn’t the Mail before I spoke to her.

Amongst my friends I’m the organised one, sorting out dates, birthday events, keeping lists and sorting the lottery syndicate. And for once falling over on my way home from a drunken party. 🙄

Penguinsaregreat · 22/01/2023 21:24

My baking.
Also moonwalking.

recklessgran · 22/01/2023 21:26

Dancing on tables. I'm 67.

Villagetoraiseachild · 22/01/2023 21:28

I make a mean pan of chai.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 22/01/2023 21:28

At home: my apple crumble
At work: a particular project that gave me my 15 mins of fame in my field.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 22/01/2023 21:30

I was a Cub leader for 5 years. Loads of random teens say hello in the street, still.

I love a chai - a real warm, milky sweet, authentic chai wallah chai, mmmmm!

I organised the petition to rid our local cemetery of the headstone of what I guess is (to our country's shame) the worst paedophile in history. It was successful.

If the person in question is who I think it is, then well done you and thank you. He was a disgrace

Ralphiesaurus · 22/01/2023 21:34

I was on Jim’ll Fix It 😬

merlotlover · 22/01/2023 21:34

Being kind (my dp says I'm the kindest person he knows and I love that)
My katsu chicken (probs fave from regular teas)
I've got a blue Peter badge 😁
Oh and I fall over a lot 🫣
And drinking red wine 🍷

LHReturns · 22/01/2023 21:34

Amongst my friends for never getting ‘into’ any man at all. Again and again, I just didn’t feel devoted, ever. Was quite sad at time but famous as never ever hurt. Also amongst my friends for a summer fling with a gorgeous star…now a really big star.

NeonBoomerang · 22/01/2023 21:35

I'm good at providing for people at parties. A term involving my name has been coined for such behaviour.

Blueisthecolor · 22/01/2023 21:37

Selling everything on eBay 😆 sometimes Facebook market place but mainly Ebay!

I've been saving up for a couple of years selling off the kids old clothes/baby items and have made profit of over £3K and we are taking the kids to Disneyland Paris with it!

Everyone in my family knows I sell loads on eBay so I'd say that's what I'm famous for 😂 that and any finance related queries (I'm an accountant).

Notateacheranymore · 22/01/2023 21:39

Making a very decent cake, having impressive vocal capabilities, and being able to charm any cat I meet.

AlexanderSupertramp · 22/01/2023 21:40

SouthCountryGirl · 22/01/2023 20:31

My ability to remember absolutely useless shit. But not what I walked into the front room for... (Or to take my dirty mug into the kitchen - keep washing up, walking into the front room and finding a dirty mug)

Same, last week my sister sent me a text to ask me the name of a shitty nightclub we went to 30 odd years ago because she knows I retain useless information, I knew it straight away but I'll spend ages looking for glasses sitting on my head.

JanusTheFirst · 22/01/2023 21:41

I have beautiful handwriting.

Nanatokidsdogshampsters · 22/01/2023 21:42

Being the wife of a sportsman in an unusual sport.

Organising events.

blondieminx · 22/01/2023 21:44

My right eye is in a Moorfields Eye Hospital training video for their (wonderful) doctors 😂

listsandbudgets · 22/01/2023 21:48

Loads though probably more on the infamous side!

I was once in the media talking about teenagers not being allowed to make each other toast! Yes really..

But that's only the tip of my fame iceberg
