I went to see the Whitney Houston movie this morning.
I mustn't have been paying attention so can someone fill me in.
At one point Whitney is signing autographs and signs for a Male fan with long hair. Later on he asks for an autograph in a hotel lobby. She signs and he goes away. As she looks up she sees him put something in the bin. Why is this character relevant?

Admittedly I may have watched this ' wrong' and misunderstood.

He was her drug dealer. The drugs were in the pen that she would ‘accidentally’ keep.

I didn’t recognise the significance at first it was only the second time she met him it became clear it was drugs.

Yes it was only in the hotel scene that i figured that bit out.
