What's happening in your house right now?

I really enjoy these threads and haven't seen a recent one so thought I'd make one. So, in my house
DH is on his PlayStation
DD18 is at work
DD15 on a sleepover
DD7 playing in her room
I'm currently upstairs in my pjs having a declutter and clean of my bedroom whilst listening to next doors teenage daughter blasting music through the wall
What's going on in your house?

I'm sitting outside in the car drinking a chocolate fudge brownie frappe. If I go in it'll be a chorus of 'what's that, where's mine, can I have some' 😄

I've just managed to sit down after getting the bread rolls out of the oven to go with the homemade steak burgers we are having tonight.

Eldest is swearing at a flat pack drawer set he is putting together for his bedroom.

Middle son is dozing having got in from early shift at work.

Youngest is in his bedroom busy with his art on hid drawing tablet.

Cats are asleep with me, one of which is snoring for Britain.

Sat waiting for a parcel to be delivered from evri that they said would definitely come today, ( I highly doubt it) both the youngest 2 have colds so tv on and quite a quiet day!

DT1 watching football
DT2 on phone or computer
Me: Watched a bit of Andy Murray , then went for a 6 mile run .Made a tandoori spice mix and now I'm away to do some food shopping to go with the mix.
I'm watching the 2 earlier series of Happy Valley so I might watch a bit of that when I get back.

Sounds very chilled in your house, OP.

Ours is similar. DH and I spent the morning deep cleaning DS1's (16) room when he was at work as it was absolutely disgusting. I usually try and leave the teens to it but it was mouldy and needed doing. He normally flips out if we go anywhere near it, but seems very grateful this time. DH and I are both now sat on the sofa with Ddog having an hour or so to chill out. DH and Ddog have just got in from a walk.

DS1 is in said clean room. I think he's having a nap! He gets up very early to work on a Saturday so I can't blame him. He'll surface later when he gets hungry.
DS2 (14) is in his pit (we need to do his next weekend! One a week is enough). He's off to a trampoline park with his mates this afternoon so I'm expecting him to come down in search of food soon before he gets in the shower and gets ready.
DS3 (11) is in his room, binge watching The Simpsons. We will only see him for food today. He's practising intently for the teen years recently! Grin
DD (9) is sat on the other sofa in the lounge, trying to find something to watch on Netflix. She's desperately bored, bless her, but confined to sitting still as she has an injured foot (on crutches). She's trying so hard to cope, but getting frustrated and sad now.

We're all having a nice, chilled evening tonight. DD and I will watch a couple of episodes of Wednesday in bed with snacks and DH will watch Star Wars with the boys.
We're having stuffed chicken breasts with parmentier potatoes and creamed cabbage for dinner.

It is quite chilled today. My bedroom is now looking much better. Really need to go to the supermarket but can't be bothered just yet, then tonight it's the masked singer with a couple of wines

Finished the food shopping and washing. We've had lunch, ds is playing computer games and I'm trying to convince myself to go for a run. It's not helping that the garden chairs are still covered in frost 🙁

Just got home from work, DH is washing his car (in this icy weather, why?) DS18 just got up and is playing electric guitar VERY LOUDLY but is pretty good so I don't mind and DS16 is on the XBox having just emptied the dishwasher and put a load of washing in for me (currently my favourite child..)

I'm going to have a cuppa, light the fire and put my feet up for the rest of the afternoon.

I'm in bed as not feeling well. DH has gone out to do some errands and is going to get me a covid test among other things. DS15 is playing Xbox and DD13 has gone shopping with a friend.

DH asleep on the sofa under blankey, dog 1 asleep on sofa under blankey, dog 2 deep in floor. No blankey. Me lying on sofa on MN... with blankey. Teen daughter in next room with tutor.

DH is getting ready to go to football, I’ll drop him off.
I’ve done one car full to the recycling centre so far today. Car is packed up for the second run this afternoon after I’ve dropped DH at football. DC age 3 will be coming with me for the tip run.

Have done the laundry, sent a load of stuff off to the tip and DD has done her homework. We're now eating popcorn and watching a movie.

Been to DD swim lesson then the library for some new books for her. Quickly put a bedroom blind up. Now DH has taken DD out to give me a break from her increasingly challenging behaviour. I've just made some cinnamon swirls and watching TV.

Me and the girls have just come back from Aldi food shop. I’ve snacked on some olives and made myself a decaf whilst I enjoy the sun on my face through the window on the couch. I’ve had a migraine all day and not taken my sunglasses off yet so I’m trying to have some quiet time. The girls are now upstairs drawing. DP is in the kitchen draining our radiators, it’s quiet here apart from the odd scraping but hugely comforting. He is going to go under the floorboards soon.

The elder cat is roaming about somewhere. He is grumpy today because he had a fight with one of the kittens. He keeps coming for the odd cuddle then remembering he’s in a mood and scowling off.

Me and DH were going to be sorting out outside and garage and starting tip runs today. Stupidly went back to sleep after letting dogs out and now too late as it closes at 5. Am getting up, getting something to eat, tackling washing up from yesterday and will probably do tomorrow's food shop instead. Masked singer tonight and probably the remaining part of 2001 a space odessey which DH making us watch.

Dd has played at her friends this morning so ds and I went out for milkshakes. He’s now got a friend over to play so I’m just waiting to be shot by nerf bullets 🤦🏽‍♀️. Teen dd is in bed with the cat 🙄.

Husband is 'working' on his laptop while rugby is on telly downstairs. DS4 and DD1 both asleep. I am trying to read a book for work upstairs but somehow am on here.

DH away working for weekend. I slept badly but managed to go to Park Run for the first time this year, so feeling smug. DD 12 went out with a friend to buy their other friends birthday presents. Then I took DD into city centre to meet friends and birthday girl and her nice mum for lunch.

They have all gone to do an activity now, so I walked home in the sunshine, going to have a cup of tea and build a fire for later. Then will watch a film and have a glass of wine with DD (she won't have wine). Beans on toast for dinner as we had such a lovely lunch.

Dh is laying hungover on the sofa after a rare night out. I spent the morning running DS4 and DS7 around to their various Saturday morning activities. They are both doing lego now while I sort my camera equipment out to do some updated headshots for DS7 (he lost a front tooth this week). He also has a Self Tape to do but I may leave that until the morning as we're both pretty tired now. Looking forward to our first takeaway of the year this evening!

DH is trying to cut down a big conifer in the garden
DS is playing on his laptop in his room
DD has a friend over (sleepover last night), and they’re currently playing in her room. Just got back from taking them shopping for DD’s birthday.
I am now sitting down with a cup of tea and the cat. She looks very comfy and is falling asleep on me, so I guess I’m stuck here now.
