What's happening in your house right now?

I really enjoy these threads and haven't seen a recent one so thought I'd make one. So, in my house
DH is on his PlayStation
DD18 is at work
DD15 on a sleepover
DD7 playing in her room
I'm currently upstairs in my pjs having a declutter and clean of my bedroom whilst listening to next doors teenage daughter blasting music through the wall

I'm making my lunch. Just got home from a fab 1 hour Swedish massage followed by a bit of shopping. Dh usually in bed as works nights but he's got up to watch Liverpool play. Ds 17 has a friend staying from who he hasn't seen in 6 years so they've gone into the city centre.

DD6 is playing with the dog.
I've just finished helping DD9 with her maths homework (it was ridiculously hard and I'm a lawyer so not exactly a duck egg) and about to have a shower while she reads.
DH is out doing the food shopping. He is a keeper.

DD is sat in her room doing something crafty, I'm sure she'll have some new drawing or needle felt thing or embroidery or something to show me later.

DH is outside fart arsing around in the field, not sure what he's up to, was wandering around with a bit of wood and some tools last I saw him. I just leave him to it.

I'm sat on the sofa with a coffee trying to muster up the energy to go food shopping. It's the only thing I need to do today and I just can't be bothered.

Done some chores this morning, now ignoring the fact I need to get DD ready for swimming. Going to do a quick run later then reward myself with Prosecco.

I've just dropped DP off at his parents so he can go to be football with his dad and brother, so I've got a lovely chilled solo afternoon. Will blitz the house while watching a crap horror or two on amazon, then out to dinner tonight at a fancy place we wanted to try. Not a bad little Saturday!

DH watching footy. DCat asleep beside him in sunny spot on sofa. I just got back from bootcamp, had a bath and am chatting on Whatsapp to DS. I might sort laundry but it's very sunny out there so maybe I'll go for a walk instead.

DP is building/fitting out an understairs cupboard before he goes to work this evening.
I'm cleaning/tidying while grumbling about our house and garden being full of thick smoke from next door's chimney because the idiot doesn't seem to know how to burn a fire properly.
DD(almost 3) is pretending to be a fruit bat
DS(1) is playing in his cot
Cat is generally being a pain and getting under everyone's feet

Ive been wrapping birthday presents as a DC and several friends are rude enough to have birthdays next week 😆

I've also cleaned because my new cleaner starts tomorrow...

This afternoon I'm going to have another go at making cheese.

DH is downstairs recording a radio show. DD2 is playing with the dog in her room. DD1 is in bed reading and chatting to a friend and I've just showered and got dressed to go and do some running round for my parents.

This is the first quiet weekend we've had in months hence the late starts.

I've taken the dogs for a long walk, now drinking tea in front of the fire and eating some of the remaining Christmas chocolates (we wildly over bought, it's not a good self control thing! 🤣) Need to stir myself shortly as have some work to do.

Dh and DS have hung out with some friends this morning and are now building Lego together. I think we're all going to watch a film together later. We haven't had a free weekend since Christmas so it's been absolute bliss to have nothing really on today.

Dd is doing a picture for a brownie badge. DH is playing guitar. I'm reading prince harrys book 😳 with dcat curled up next to me. Got a drums lesson at half past though.

DS7 is on me watching rugrats
DS5 is at my feet watching rugrats and looking at top trump cards
DD10 months gone with DH to mil’s care home.

Now I’ve just jumped up because the kids said they haven’t had lunch!!!!

DS (21) is watching the football
DH is having a nap before starting cooking - we have friends coming for dinner tonight and he is cooking Indian food
I am supposed to be researching new washing machines but went into the utility room to check model of our current one which had just finished so I ended up taking washing down from airier, hanging load of washing up and putting in a load of towels and tea towels and cloths. Walked past the cooker and could smell the filter which desperately needed cleaning so have done that too. I need to tidy house and vacuum and maybe brush the dog but she is snoring away so might leave her.

I’ve done most of the housework this morning, and decluttered the trofast unit in the dining room that houses mountains of craft stuff. DH has had the DC for a walk and to the park. So it’s a guilt free lazy afternoon now. DH is watching football. DD(5) is playing in her room. I’m pushing DD(1) back and forth in her pram to get her to sleep then off to sneak my hidden chocolate upstairs and read my book.

Just come home from work, had lunch.
Dp has done all the housework this morning so I'm sitting down whilst he now watches top gear. 04:30 alarm this morning and we are saving money so going to have a relaxing afternoon and a nice bubble bath later.

DD1&2 are teens so they’re out in the city shopping. DD3 is sat next to me watching Final Space on TV and I’m knitting. I really need a nap, I’ve been unwell all week and I am wiped out.

Sounds very chilled in your house, OP.

Ours is similar. DH and I spent the morning deep cleaning DS1's (16) room when he was at work as it was absolutely disgusting. I usually try and leave the teens to it but it was mouldy and needed doing. He normally flips out if we go anywhere near it, but seems very grateful this time. DH and I are both now sat on the sofa with Ddog having an hour or so to chill out. DH and Ddog have just got in from a walk.

DS1 is in said clean room. I think he's having a nap! He gets up very early to work on a Saturday so I can't blame him. He'll surface later when he gets hungry.
DS2 (14) is in his pit (we need to do his next weekend! One a week is enough). He's off to a trampoline park with his mates this afternoon so I'm expecting him to come down in search of food soon before he gets in the shower and gets ready.
DS3 (11) is in his room, binge watching The Simpsons. We will only see him for food today. He's practising intently for the teen years recently! Grin
DD (9) is sat on the other sofa in the lounge, trying to find something to watch on Netflix. She's desperately bored, bless her, but confined to sitting still as she has an injured foot (on crutches). She's trying so hard to cope, but getting frustrated and sad now.

We're all having a nice, chilled evening tonight. DD and I will watch a couple of episodes of Wednesday in bed with snacks and DH will watch Star Wars with the boys.
We're having stuffed chicken breasts with parmentier potatoes and creamed cabbage for dinner.

Dh is falling asleep on the sofa.
Dd18 is stroking the cat, eating Maoam and watching something on her ipad
Dd15 is in the kitchen with her friend and I think they’re making something to eat
Dd8 is out the front playing on her roller skates with two friends
I am sitting on the sofa under a blanket drinking a cup of tea and faffing around on my phone

We should all really get off our arses and clean the house as it’s a state after a week of work/school/uni but nobody can be bothered. That can be tomorrows task and today can be a lazy day.

Just been pottering in the garden in the sunshine and about to go and make some chutney with my Aunt. Daughter and her friend are on the trampoline and son is making jumps out of pallets for for his bike. Husband is away with work.

DS and DH are playing a game against each other on the Metaquest. I'm meant to be finishing the dressing room but scrolling Mumsnet. We need to build the shed and get the garage cleared out but it's still below zero outside

Living room floor is covered in toys.
