Anyone else still have to file their tax return?

Every year. I'm a serial procrastinator and every year I leave it to the last minute, why? I've never been late but just make it so difficult for myself. And every year I promise myself I'll do it in April and every year I'm sat here in January putting it off...

Well I'm logging off for the night after a 14 hour day, still got 9 not submitted but they will have to deal with the fines!

Oof well done. We actually finished at 5pm all submitted, quite a few provisional but we can sort that out later. Its never been known before.

All of mine done that are going to be.

1 has too many outstanding queries so will file late. 1 not in.

210 done though!

@Hellocatshome Yep this has been a really bad year for us too!

Well done to us all Grin Here's the gin Gin (sadly I'm also trying to lose weight and off the midweek booze, hmmm do I make an exception...)

100% make an exception. Nothing has calories on the 31st Jan.

Stumbling upon this thread has made for an exciting evening for my husband and me! Trying to work this out:

My husband started a new job in March 2022. The pay rise means we will have to pay some money back for the child benefit we claim. We know he will have to submit a tax return to do this. That one month of pay will not have taken his earnings for April 2021-April 2022 over the £50k limit.

Does he need to fill out the tax return this year?

Nope, as long as taxable earnings for the year are less than £50k then all ok.

Our January was really really rough too. Loads of staffing changes/staff off sick during the year plus just too many clients! I think working from home makes it worse too.

My senior associate did about 90 hours of overtime this month and she’s not the only one 😥

I did mine on saturday. They actually owed me money which was a nice surprise. Is there a de minimus for bank interest. I didn't bother adding up the 30p the bank has given me. Savings all in isas.
