Hi everyone,

Just looking for some advice. Had a UTI a few days ago (blood in urine, pissing razor blades etc) but it’s now developed into a full blown kidney infection. My back is sore and I just feel exhausted. I’ve noticed I haven’t been peeing much the past 2 days. I have drank over 3 litres of water yesterday to try flush it out but the pee is just not coming out iyswim

I’m not sure I should start to worry about that. Any advice would be great! Thank you!

Hope OP is ok. Sad sign of the times that Gp could have and should have been able to see her, but she was then forced to go to A&E.

You Need to get in touch with your local hospital as this is urgently medical issue

My DD had as you described a uti that she developed quickly to a kidney infection and then all very quickly to sepsis. She was the most unwell I have ever seen anyone and needed urgently hospitalised, as pp said they will need to check you are on the correct antibiotics for your specific bacterial strain. Possibly intravenously over a week or two.

Hopefully yours has been caught on time and it doesn’t come to this. The hospital should be able to treat you either way. Feel better soon Flowers
