Dirty Dancing - how have I only just noticed?!

In the scene where Lisa goes to see Robbie, she’s shocked that he’s in bed with another woman. I’ve only just realised that woman is Vivian (older lady who wants to have ‘extra dance lessons’ with Johnny! How have I never realised this?! Please tell me I’m not the only one!

I have watched DD a million times since the age of about 12 and only noticed this a couple of years ago!

Can I just add - prepare yourself - that despite her being a ‘lonely older woman’ that Johnnie is ‘entertaining’ - the actress was actually 37!!!

I just remember noticing that baby was wearing white knickers in the aftermath of the sex scene. Think she was supposed to be naked but the camera show a glimpse of them. Thought I was great noticing.

Now this I do remember noticing right from the start, and we thought we were so clever got spotting it!

We also used to freeze frame the moment Johnny gets out the bed and you catch a fleeting glimpse of his bum.

When it was on at my local theatre the man playing Jonny had a wardrobe malfunction during the bedroom scene. He was supposed to stand up naked and put his trousers on with his back to the audience. We caught more than a fleeting glimpse of his bum...

I was feeling smug as I had realised who the woman in bed with Robbie was… but then someone mentioned the chairs going missing and I thought - OMG yes, how did I not think about this before?!

There is a whole host of DD bloopers if you Google - such as the mom briefly glimpsed at the beginning being a different actress.

The original actress fell ill after the first week of filming. Kelly Bishop was originally cast as Vivienne so she was recast as Mrs Houseman.
