Friend has told me he's in love with me. I'm Muslim and he's not.

My friend whom I adore has told me that he's in love with me and I don't know what the hell to do! I like him alot but have never entertained the idea of us being a couple as I'm Muslim and he's not. Also he's alot younger than me and although he's my friend I would consider him way out of my league as a partner. Without putting myself down, he really could do much better than me. I honestly don't know what he's thinking!

I'm kind of torn between let's do this to feeling cautious about it.

Has anyone been in a similar situation?

What's he suggesting - a date, a relationship, marriage?
How much is "a lot" younger?
Is he respectful of your beliefs?

Why is you being a Muslim an issue? Are either of your families particularly anti the others religion?

Either he needs to convert to Islam or you need to leave Islam. Honestly, from many years of experience, religiously mixed marriages end up being a nightmare. Especially if children are in the picture. It's all well and good to be all modern-minded and breezy and think love conquers all, but I have seen a lot of regretful women (and it's usually the women who suffer) who wish they hadn't married out.
