First of, she starts with this.

Then Andrew starts to get cocky…and gets arrested Grin

I love this new breed of young woman who won't smile nicely, sit down, shut up, and do as they are told.

We have a few of them here is Oz and they take my breathe away.

I wish I had been braver in my youth. I don't have to agree with everything one of their points to support their outspokenness and to be behind them.

The young are right to be furious at the mess we have created, instead of telling them to hush. Perhaps we should get off our fucking arses and do something about it?

Me too.Xmas Grin It warms the cockles of my feminist heart.💞

Between medieval peasant and FF reliance we had an industrial revolution powered by steam

Steam engines were primarily powered by coal

Clinging to FF is like clinging to steam in a world of the internal combustion engine

That’s hilarious seeing as you didn’t have to ban the horse and cart to get people into cars.

I mean, you are aware people in the 1800s were using fossil fuels to ship things by sea or land, right? Heating their homes using coal and using kerosene for lighting?

So what, are we going back to the 1600s? Where the average person was still totally mired in poverty?

It should go without saying that we are reliant on fossil fuels because … everything else is so unreliable

Nuclear power is reliable and means that countries can become energy self sufficient instead of relying on foreign governments.

Carbon Net Zero is not about banning all use of FFs.

MintyFreshOne · 02/01/2023 21:40

Nuclear is great, and I’m totally in favour of using it for electricity generation.

But electricity generation is only one part; it’s not insignificant at about 25 percent of usage, but it won’t affect those FFs used in shipping (particularly sea freight), aviation, agriculture, construction, heavy industry, mining, pharmaceuticals and, of course, plastics.

To me, this is all fine if greens want to work on specific issues like switching electricity generation to nuclear.

But they tend to say things like ‘stop oil’ and ‘ban oil’ which pisses me right off.

Or they’ll complain about carbon emissions percentages without really knowing how much can actually be altered, and are totally ignorant about what must stay in place to have any sort of decent standard of living.

Not if he decides to identify as a woman and be housed in a woman's prison which she is on board with.
That's not intelligent at all.

I can't imagine the Romanian justice system would give any head room to that bollocksy nonsense
