Nuclear is great, and I’m totally in favour of using it for electricity generation.
But electricity generation is only one part; it’s not insignificant at about 25 percent of usage, but it won’t affect those FFs used in shipping (particularly sea freight), aviation, agriculture, construction, heavy industry, mining, pharmaceuticals and, of course, plastics.
To me, this is all fine if greens want to work on specific issues like switching electricity generation to nuclear.
But they tend to say things like ‘stop oil’ and ‘ban oil’ which pisses me right off.
Or they’ll complain about carbon emissions percentages without really knowing how much can actually be altered, and are totally ignorant about what must stay in place to have any sort of decent standard of living.
