First of, she starts with this.

Then Andrew starts to get cocky…and gets arrested Grin

Goodness. The vitriol. I admire Greta - although sometimes disagree with her; but the pizza box is a work of genius and AT is an arse

MintyFreshOne · 30/12/2022 17:05

I don’t think you can even recycle a pizza box 🤷‍♀️

stealersmealdeal · 30/12/2022 17:10

She's a fucking child.

She'll be 20 on Wednesday. Hardly a child. What had you done by the time you were 20??

SnowlayRoundabout · 30/12/2022 17:12

WomanhoodIsABirthright · 30/12/2022 16:02

Nope, nothing to do with him, I don't follow him, or what he's up to and don't even know what went on between him and her.

She just gets right up my nose with her smug preaching. She's a fucking child.

She's 19, so not a child. And she's a hell of a lot brighter and more mature than Tate.

She’s 19 and has educated herself through her teenage years about something she feels strongly about. I think your comments are horrible.

It’s just a shame she couldn’t be bothered to educate herself about biological sex 🙄

It's this kind of bollocks that gives mumsnet feminism a bad name.

Ohnotheydidnt · 30/12/2022 17:14

She isn't a child! She's an adult....🤣

PlaitBilledDuckyPuss · 30/12/2022 17:14

I think she's done things that were impressive for the age she was. She's at risk of 'child prodigy syndrome' as she moves into adulthood; i.e. becoming one of many adult climate activists rather than a stand-out teenager. It will be interesting to see where she goes in later life.

Sorry? So it’s bollocks to know that sex is real, binary and immutable?

SnowlayRoundabout · 30/12/2022 17:22

If you believe that GT doesn't know the biology of sex, you are deceiving yourself.

Quite. Of course she knows. She may believe that sex and gender are two different things and have a very liberal view of trans rights, but what's that got to do with anything?

SnowlayRoundabout · 30/12/2022 17:22

She believes TWAW, which usually means that she would expect males who commit sex crimes to be housed in female prisons.
As a (I'm assuming) highly intelligent woman whom I admire greatly for the work she has done to highlight the issues around global warming, it’s infuriating that her stance on GI is in direct opposition to the key principles of feminism.

A huge amount if you are concerned with the erosion of women’s rights.

Fucking hell there's some hated in this thread.
So much small dick energy.

yeh not sure why posters prefer his tweets over hers.

Haven’t followed him at all and no idea about him until this thread but he’s not worth defending:

maddiemookins16mum · 30/12/2022 16:20

She’s a bit tiresome but that tweet about him raised my opinion of her no end. Well done lass.

I agree, go Greta! I love her energy and passion as others have said.

Well, if she is in any way complicit in getting AT put away for a long stretch, she will have done more for the dignity of women and girls than any amount of threads on Mumsnet.

I don't always agree with Greta, or the way she goes about things. I think she is - as many youngsters are - somewhat idealistic and frequently misses the wider picture. It's not uncommon in young activitists to be fair, it's not a phenomenon that only applies to Greta.

Although I don't always think she's right, I admire her passion and enthusiasm and willingness to put herself in the firing line for something she believes in. And she has a brilliant sense of humour - this isn't the first time she's shown how funny she is.

My DD is autistic and I think Greta is a fantastic role model. I'd much rather DD emulate Greta than some of the vacuous social influencers who seem to be so popular.

PS - Andrew Tate is a giant bellend and it's amazing to see his arse handed to him so publicly. I hope the women who were found in his property are OK.

Not if he decides to identify as a woman and be housed in a woman's prison which she is on board with.
That's not intelligent at all.

DuplicateUserName · 30/12/2022 17:38

She's not my cup of tea but I thought the Tweet was a great come back.

Not sure that would apply in a Romanian prison.

I’m not a fan of Greta, but her exchange with Andrew Tate was rather funny.
His ego may never recover. 🤭

Agree.

I like her morals and her cause.

I find her approach a bit OTT but I understand why she comes across as she does.

But he started this and her retorts were hilarious.

yubgummy · 30/12/2022 17:53

There's a part of me which is really rooting for this to all end in Andrew Tate announcing that he's trans and wants to go to women's prison...

The amount of headspinning that would cause 😂
