A packet of Wotsits and two Lindt balls. I'm fasting atm so have this carefully planned for Christmas morning.

MaggieFS · 23/12/2022 14:52

Croissant. Saving the fry up for Boxing Day.

Friendofdennis · 23/12/2022 14:52

Some lovely choices on here. I bought and froze some amazing pain au chocolat from a bakery in Bath With these we will have coffee orange juice and raspberries. If people are still hungry we will have a choice of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on toast or an English breakfast. Then we will have our main Christmas meal in the evening

TenzingNorgay · 23/12/2022 14:55

pastries of varying descriptions, juice and coffee.

wibblewobbleball · 23/12/2022 14:58

Eggs Benedict using some of the Christmas ham which I cook on Christmas Eve, with Buck's Fizz. Boxing Day is a fry up with bubble and squeak!

DisplayPurposesOnly · 23/12/2022 15:00

Fried egg sandwiches, bucks fizz, coffee

PuppyMonkey · 23/12/2022 15:02

Weetabix.

Littlehouseinthebigcity · 23/12/2022 15:02

Reindeer crumpets and Christmas tree waffles 😁

GoldenCagedBird · 23/12/2022 15:03

Just coffee, fizz and chocolate/nuts from the Xmas bowls.

I’m not a mumsnet teeny tiny - I just like to be starving for Christmas lunch.

Blowyourowntrumpet · 23/12/2022 15:03

Always pork pie on Christmas day

Tinsella · 23/12/2022 15:05

I asked everyone what they wanted before I went shopping this morning (only me, DH and two teenagers for breakfast).

DS said smoked salmon & cream cheese bagels.

DD said English muffins with eggs and streaky bacon.

Me & DH will have scrambled eggs and either the salmon or bacon, and some fruit.

pigalow27 · 23/12/2022 15:06

Always have smoked salmon and cream cheese blinis and Buck's Fizz

IamEarthymama · 23/12/2022 15:10

IrishJ · 23/12/2022 14:33

Pork pie
I don’t know why, it’s a family thing.

GoldenCagedBird

You both have pork pie!!

Can you tell us or please ask your families why this tradition started?

We are having croissants DW or GF Pain au Chocolate for me.
It used to be Bucks Fizz too but far too acidic for either of us.
There maybe some Baileys in my coffee though.

Whatdoyouthinkno · 23/12/2022 15:11

Freshly baked cinnamon rolls, pain au chocolat and croissants.

thelobsterquadrille · 23/12/2022 15:12

Normally just coffee, maybe with Baileys added.

We save ourselves for Christmas dinner and the three desserts we normally have on the go Grin

CrapBucket · 23/12/2022 15:13

I will offer panettone though I don't think the teens actually like it, they will eat chocolate anyway. Everyone wins, I get to pretend we are a sophisticated family and a whole panettone to myself, they get to eat chocolate.

Daffodilis · 23/12/2022 15:15

My usual homemade smoothie, not too fussed on eating first thing, I use my home made greek yoghurt in it with chia seeds, fruit etc, it sets me up for the day. My sons will probably have bacon or sausage batches.

ThreeRingCircus · 23/12/2022 15:16

We always have smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels. Coffee. Bucks Fizz made with clementine juice.

I can't wait!

MrsTumblebee · 23/12/2022 15:18

TheShellBeach · 23/12/2022 14:47

Bacon, eggs, square sausage, Stornoway black pudding, haggis, fried potatoes, tomatoes, fried bread.

The usual weekend breakfast in this house, in fact.

I’d give a kings ransom for that. ❤️

ChestnutGrove · 23/12/2022 15:18

Christmas eve morning we are having pain au chocolats and cinnamon rolls. Nothing special for Christmas Day morning though

Yarnosaura · 23/12/2022 15:19

Bacon rolls, pain au chocolate and panettone (all gluten free).

Whatever anyone can find - at best a slice of toast or some cereal. More realistically, a small selection box or some leftover tortilla chips and dips.

Sounds perfect!!!

ApproachingTheBig40 · 23/12/2022 15:22

Pastries the ones u buy, slice and bake.

Got 3 different ones

MrsTumblebee · 23/12/2022 15:27

We have a breakfast brunch.

Birchers Muesli

Sausages, mushrooms, tomato, spinach, scrambled eggs, tattie scones.

Eggs Benedict/florentine/la Mer

A cheese board with crackers and some footery aboot bits.

Roast Turkey crown with cranberry stuffing plus the makings of Turkey sandwiches for people to take home. Or eat there and then.

Homemade Dundee cake and Chocolate log plus a box of mixed biscuits.

oh and two boxes of choco pops as a treat for my grandchildren.

Its great.

Ted27 · 23/12/2022 15:27

My son will be going to church so he will have weetabix before he goes.
I'll drink tea and investigate a selection box whilst I'm waiting for him.

When he gets back we will have pain au chocolat and raspberry/blueberry smoothies made from our own allotment crops.
