For some reason today i feel really anxious!
Its not xmas related as i have everything sorted and no dinner to cook or prep for.
All i have is a small bit of ironing i want to get out the way.

But i feel really anxious.
Im pacing the floor almost. Kids all playing nicely and they have a party this afternoon.
I feel like I'm spiralling, so strange it's been ages since like this.

Yes to writing it down.

Going for a walk is impossible today without dragging half the kids.. Making it stressful and its belting down.

Depending on the age of your children (this won't work with a 2 year old), I used to take them to a play area, tell them to go off and play and then walk circuits around it so I could get some space but also keep an eye on them.

Binaural beats, getting out in nature and burning off some adrenaline with a walk, a damn good cry sometimes helps me too.

Listen to a bit of Bach, breathe and rebreathe into a paper bag to get the balance of gasses in your lungs right. Sing a lovely song to help you breathe properly.

I find losing myself in an audio book very helpful (especially to drown out racing thoughts when I am trying to go to sleep!). Also exercise as mentioned by previous posters - a good hard dance party with the kids gets out some of the nervous energy. Hope you feel better soon

In the immediate moment - box breathing. Or 10 slow, deep breaths.

This. There is nothing like square breathing although mine is more of a triangle but it's brilliant
