She was an Irish Traveller from Cork, Ireland. I remember as a child hearing an Irish Traveller lady singing and it was the most heartfelt thing I’d ever heard.

Stevie Nicks. Rooms On Fire is one of my favourites.

Oh yes Mary Chapin Carpenter 😍 I saw her live in Glasgow in the mid 1990s and she was bloody brilliant!!

I haven't RTFT: Erika Wennerstrom of The Heartless Bastards. "Only For You", "Revolution", "The Arrow Killed The Beast", "A Beautiful Life", "Skin and Bone" ... Saw her and her band this live week - so, so freakin' good 🌟

OMG, Janis Ian. Had the privilege of seeing her play an intimate acoustic gig several years ago. - She was amazing - and very warm and funny with her in-between-songs chat 😊 I'm saddened to hear that she can no longer sing (her vocal chords have been damaged, following an infection).

Liela Moss of The Duke Spirit - their 2008 album "Neptune" is a favourite. Her husky, bluesy voice is something to behold.
