Yes it is on BBC. According to sentencing guidelines, he will serve half of it in prison (taking into account any time already served) and then the second half out in the community on licence.

He will go on it if he was changed under the Sexual Offenses Act (2003). I believe revenge porn is on that list. He was found guilty of voyeurism and disclosing private sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress

This is very good news.

He is a sex offender so will go on the register. We can also call him a pervert, without risk of deletion. Prison isn’t nice. He will sob many times in his cell over the next few months. Many nights he won’t get to sleep because of the banging and moaning from his inmates.

In many ways we need high profile ‘celebs’ to get convicted. Only then will young men challenge their status as role models.

I don't agree revenge porn should count as sex offending. Maybe they should have a separate register.

@louise5754 I thought about this and he is a sex offender. He's a filthy bastard who doesn't care about other people. He shared their sex tape that she didn't know was being made for his own profit. That's a sex offence to me.

I understand but physically raping someone and abusing a child should be reported separately. Just my opinion.

Plus you'd get a more serious sentence for those types of crimes. Theft is theft whether it's a chocolate bar or a car

They are reported separately and have different sentencing guidelines.

The sex offenders register is separate to all that, and is used so sex offenders can be monitored. Sex offenders of all types and severity will be on it.

What he did wasn't really revenge porn, it was more opportunistic exploitative porn. He didn't post it to get back at her, he posted it for a fee on his only fans to make money off it. I am not saying that is better as he was completely indifferent to her lack of consent.

I think that indifference and exploitation is almost worse of an intention than posting something in a moment of anger / rejection / break-up pain for revenge.

I can understand why some PP may think revenge porn and rape are different. From a physical aspect, they are.
But, from an emotional side, maybe they have the same impact? iyswim.

I have been raped, but not had a sex tape put on the Internet. However, maybe the affects of emotional violation is the same.
