What post would you have posted exactly 15 years ago tonight?

That’s December 2007. I would have posted something dull about work, and being bullied under the guise of “managed out”. All worked out well, in a better place now. You?

OP posts:
Dontsparethehorses · 04/12/2022 04:09

Oh to be 21 again! Bizarrely I’ve just looked on Facebook memories and I posted “3 more days and I’ve passed” I can only imagine it was my final teaching placement!
I’m now a headteacher!

MammaWeasel · 04/12/2022 04:25

I would have had an 8yo and a 10yo so mine would probably have been about how much fun I was having getting things for their Christmas stocking.

WitnessWanted · 04/12/2022 04:28

I was feeling really unwell, possibly chest infection?
Had not long started a new job and was feeling a bit embarrassed about having to take some days of sick.

Turned out to be a massive pulmonary embolism and I was very unwell for a while.

I'm grateful to be here ☺️

Finished chemotherapy, finished radiotherapy, one third of the way through Herceptin, hair growing back and very soon I will have to stop wearing my wig and embrace awful Brillo pad grey hair which looks like it has had a granny perm. I loved my wig and felt 'normal' and actually good whilst wearing it. Removing it was awful.

Orormno · 04/12/2022 07:47

I guessed that I would have posted about being fed up of pregnancy and wanting baby to arrive or being worried because the baby hadn’t grown in a couple of weeks and they were talking about inducing me.

But I’ve gone back and searched and I actually posted that I wasn’t feeling ready for the baby and that toddler dd had woken me up a million times the night before!

Paq · 04/12/2022 07:55

I'd just had a baby so probably would have posted a picture of her!

Cosycover · 04/12/2022 07:58

Probably that I loved everyone.

Because I would have been high 😂

How I was looking forward to going to the Take That concert on their Beautiful World Tour........... Smile

I wouldn't have known that at the time, my husband bought me tickets for Christmas that year!

AmazingBouncingFerret · 04/12/2022 08:08

Something about my son’s 1st birthday.

IrishJP · 04/12/2022 08:11

On 3.12.07 I was in a terrible state with my mental health (I was 18 and homeless) and then got a call to say a friend of a friend had committed suicide (she was 13!)
I would’ve likely posted some song lyrics, as I’m sure I did on msn and MySpace.

Little did I know that night would be the defining turning point in my life. I wouldn’t be who I am today, I likely wouldn’t be here at all if that night and all that followed hadn’t happened

soupmaker · 04/12/2022 08:13

I was 7 months pregnant with our first. I'd have been posting stupid questions about what you need to buy for when babies are born and panicking about getting our house decorated before she arrived!

DinosApple · 04/12/2022 08:13

I was 25, engaged and sorting wedding things for the following June.
We only had a few children at the wedding and loads of evening guests, but I don't remember people getting flamed for that back then 😇.

I was lurking occasionally on Mumsnet back then, and was just pregnant a year later.
We've got two lovely DC now.

Beautifulsunflowers · 04/12/2022 08:19

My post would be about how to manage the school nativity play for my 5 yr old with baby ds in tow! That 5 year old is now 20 and my baby ds almost 16! I wish I had mumsnet back then.

Oblomov22 · 04/12/2022 08:22

I often can't remember specific years. Did anything big happen in 2007?
Dec 2007 I was pregnant with ds2.

DelilahBucket · 04/12/2022 08:23

I was six months pregnant, living with a cheating, lying boyfriend who I'd only been with for a year, I had turned all the mirrors round in the house as I hated how I looked, I worked in retail with crippling SPD but said boyfriend only worked part time in Game and it was around this time of year he'd just spent his entire November pay packet on computer games, leaving us with no money for HIS kids for Christmas. I couldn't afford any time off. I was miserable as fook. I didn't know then that it was only going to get worse. It was a dark period in my life but I have DS and I wouldn't have met my now DH if I hadn't gone through it.

Oblomov22 · 04/12/2022 08:27

2007

i phone
Justin Bieber is 13.
Blair resigns over Iraq war.

SmokeWithoutFire · 04/12/2022 08:33

I should have been complaining that DH had gone to a work christmas party leaving me with newborn DD1....

cptartapp · 04/12/2022 08:35

It was the eve of DS1 fifth birthday. He's 20 today!

YoSofi · 04/12/2022 08:37

Mine would have been something about a brilliant night out with my brother and our group of friends.

He died in a car accident a year later.

ChristmasJoysuckers · 04/12/2022 08:56

@JubileeTrifle

💐.

It's so awful isn't it.
I've had xmasses in all sorts of circumstance some very very lean times indeed and in truly hard and tragic circumstances and yet I've never actually felt depressed and miserable like I do at my in law's. They have ruined Xmas.
Life is too short,I'm thinking this could be the last one for me.
I hope you can enjoy your xmasses now!!

ChristmasJoysuckers · 04/12/2022 08:58

@YoSofi 💐💐

dudsville · 04/12/2022 09:00

I was having so much fun. I was single having come out of a hideous marriage, had a fridge full a local champagne that won awards. I was dating, seeing friends. I was making up for so much lost time. And it ended with being the live of my life!

BCBird · 04/12/2022 09:08

Would have been 38. Would have been looking forward to break from.work and wondering if I would ever find a partner. I did,two- not at the same time🙄. Single again.

BeautifulWar · 04/12/2022 09:09

It would have revolved around festive plans and parties with my (late) OH and/or friends and probably something about what to wear.

Still looking forward to some festive fun with my best friends from that time, although it will be a sight better behaved and with our children!

Georgeskitchen · 04/12/2022 09:09

I would have been posting about the fears for my 19 year old son and his comrades serving in Iraq
