What post would you have posted exactly 15 years ago tonight?

That’s December 2007. I would have posted something dull about work, and being bullied under the guise of “managed out”. All worked out well, in a better place now. You?

OP posts:

Gonna yes thanks, recovered quickly thanks to an excellent doctor. That was when I knew I'd be on meds for life. It was harder to get treated then, and there was a lot of judgement. That doctor has retired now - well deserved but definitely a loss to the profession.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 04/12/2022 00:05

Will I ever get pregnant, married get out of this shit job and town? All of them yes!

JustBkind · 04/12/2022 00:07

Seems such a long time ago but I would have posted that I got married in sept 2007 and that our extension on the house was completed just in time for Christmas!

Twoscotcheggsandajarofmarmite · 04/12/2022 00:08

I had just moved into our new house, we moved to Ireland six months before and it took us a while to find a home. I grew up in London and here I am in the arse end of nowhere with one (barely) visible neighbour. My kids all have different accents to me but life is so much more laid back. And I’m still in the EU, so a good move all in all.

PurpleButterflyWings · 04/12/2022 00:16

How I was looking forward to going to the Take That concert on their Beautiful World Tour........... Smile

IsabelaYourBoyfriendsHere · 04/12/2022 00:24

I was 11, so probably a bit more interested in Club Penguin rather than Mumsnet. 😂

AlanDavidson · 04/12/2022 00:28

DD was 2 and I was trying to wean her off the breast, so probably something about that.

Heavyraindropsarefallingonmyhead · 04/12/2022 00:32

I was dating an older guy who had told his mother we had broken up because she was convinced I was a gold digger even though I earned more and he was nearly bankrupt

My aibu would have been 'aibu to think he is using me for sex?'

I would not have been unreasonable. Behind my back he met another woman, got married to her because she was rich, and then expected to continue to have sex with me (I did not!)

I really wish I'd had MN around to put me straight at the time

NextPrimeMinister · 04/12/2022 00:38

We'd have been in our current home one month. I'd be out on the razz (saturday night = standard) and I'd likely be working out how much weight I needed to lose per week for our wedding in the following July. I never lost the weight and would kill now to be that weight now!

Remaker · 04/12/2022 00:40

I would have just celebrated my 40th birthday sans alcohol as I was 8.5 mths pregnant with my 2nd DC.

whenindoubtgotothelibrary · 04/12/2022 00:42

I would have posted about the horrors of living on a building site with very small dc ( youngest was under 2) while we renovated a wreck. I think Xmas 2007 was a low point with the loo having to be flushed with a bucket and only one plug socket operational downstairs. As is always the way we had vastly underestimated the time, cost and work needed. It was horrific at the time but it all worked out in the end.

IllhaveaPpleaseBob · 04/12/2022 00:44

That we had just brought our adopted children age 3 and 4 home that day and they had finally settled to sleep in their new home.

Sunnidaze · 04/12/2022 00:46

That I was so excited to be planning a first Christmas with my IVF twins....finally! Also, that DH had sent me to the shop with my mum to buy the biggest tree we could find, and we did not disappoint. Good times. They are strapping almost 16 year old now and we have another IVF blessing as well.

NoSquirrels · 04/12/2022 00:49

Still on honeymoon having an amazing time 😍

HammerToFall · 04/12/2022 00:55

That the little boy I was adopting was coming to us tomorrow and I had accepted I'd never have a biological child. That little boy is now 16 and over six foot, we also have a daughter, they are full siblings and a six week old baby who I gave birth to six weeks ago laid in a Moses basket next to me, daughter has finally given me back after doing his last feed and nappy change. He is hee whole world. Funny how life works out.

thaegumathteth · 04/12/2022 01:01

That I couldn't believe I'd survived almost a year of no sleep since ds was born and WHEN WOULD HE SLEEP?

Incredible !!

Sickoffamilydrama · 04/12/2022 01:07

I would have been looking forward to the first Christmas with my first baby, she's taking her GCSEs this year and had two siblings.

Blimey a lot can change in 15 years!

HeatwaveToNightshade · 04/12/2022 01:28

3luckystars · 03/12/2022 23:21

I was pregnant too! He is 6ft tall now.

So was I - just a few weeks gone. And DS1 is also 6ft😅

SleepCheeseBeer · 04/12/2022 01:40

I was 25. Only been with my now DH almost a year. My post would be either saying that I'm going out to get drunk or I'm looking forward to our 1 year anniversary.

boysarethebest · 04/12/2022 01:50

How desperate I was to give birth as due date was 5th December. Had to wait another 10 days till he arrived.

UpsyDaisysarmpit · 04/12/2022 02:07

I was going on holiday on a plane with DP and baby DS. We shared a chicken sandwich in the airport and spent the whole holiday with food poisoning. So I might be posting about how we were going on the plane and photos of DS in his little Christmas romper suit and Santa hat. He's now almost 16!

frozengoose · 04/12/2022 02:17

I was in the middle of IVF treatment.
It was a stressful month.

DC are teens now.

CheapMustard · 04/12/2022 02:23

I would have been partying hard somewhere fabulous!! I do miss those days, earning well and not a care in the world! I’m a bloody nervous wreck menopausal, anxiety laden old cow now! *Shrugs, and goes back to mumsnet chat…

yentirb · 04/12/2022 02:40

I was a teenager but my parents where divorcing, so it would've been related to that had this been a suitable forum for teenagers (which it's not)
