What post would you have posted exactly 15 years ago tonight?

That’s December 2007. I would have posted something dull about work, and being bullied under the guise of “managed out”. All worked out well, in a better place now. You?

OP posts:
Matildahoney · 03/12/2022 23:35

I was counting down to my wedding in 2 weeks.

HerRoyalNotness · 03/12/2022 23:36

I have a 6mth old and I’ll really struggling. The dog barks at anything and wakes him up when he’s napping. I don’t have family here so I’ve asked MIL to pop over whenever she wants for a cuppa. She never has. She lives 5min drive away. What to do?

Me too!

Only now I'm very relieved to be divorced from my abusive twat of an exH. I do have two amazing kids to show for it though!

Singleandproud · 03/12/2022 23:38

I was in my first year at uni and had a horrific ear infection around December time so maybe something about that.

CatChant · 03/12/2022 23:39

Probably something about how much easier second babies are to look after. DS, now in Year 10 and towering over me, was coming up to a month old and he was such a good sleeper and so enthusiastic about drinking all his milk - quite unlike his older sister at the same age.

HollyJollyNovember · 03/12/2022 23:39

I was 15 and probably would have posted about how hard GCSE mocks are 😂 and how annoying my mum was for not letting me get the bus home with my friends and insisting I call her and she would pick me up.

Also probably whinging about how I had no minutes left and panicking when the internet icon turned on on my phone!

Octopusmittens · 03/12/2022 23:39

My DS was nearly 2 months old, he’s nearly 6ft now.

EmmaAgain22 · 03/12/2022 23:40

I was in a really bad way in December 2007 but I hadn't realised it

Like, I would stay by the wall of the Tube station as the Tube station till the train had fully pulled in, because I knew there was a risk I'd jump in front of it.

Then on Jan 2nd I had a sort of nervous breakdown. My dad came to fetch me and he was terrified. Strange days.

Whelmed · 03/12/2022 23:43

I would have posted some cryptic passive aggressive stuff. Due to my relationship at that time hitting absolute rock bottom and also dealing with an unplanned pregnancy.

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 03/12/2022 23:44

I’d have been about 36 and either going to a Girls Night In (part of a social friendship group run at thx organisers house) which was actually a fairly good laugh. Random women turned up, we watched DVDs and got takeaway pizza 🍕 or brought our own, plus had snacks like crisps, trifle, cake and drank either Prosecco or wine with lemonade.

I might’ve been on a date too.

It was the time when I was on the one hand desperate to meet someone and settle down and on the other hand wax deluded by men and internet dating.

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 03/12/2022 23:45

Ah it’s a post. I might’ve posted something along of the lines that I was at the girls night in.

heyyellowyellow · 03/12/2022 23:45

I just gave birth to my beautiful baby boy!

(who, on 3/12/22, has just turned 15!)

RiverSkater · 03/12/2022 23:45

My thoughts? I'm sure I being bullied / ousted from my job. Just bought a house too.

Horrible bully boss. Hate going into work. Lost all my confidence.

I was bullied out but it was dressed up as redundancy the following March.

I was however pregnant so that took the edge off.

15 years later trying to get back into my old profession and these memories are too much in my head!

Oh shit. I hope you’re feeling better now.

Pidgeonslipshit · 03/12/2022 23:48

Have got school Christmas Fayre and how to avoid without my son being ostracised 😅

WidowTwanki · 03/12/2022 23:48

I would have been planning my wonderful Xmas with my 4 beautiful young children and not realising that it was the last one I we would spend with my glorious mother who died suddenly a few months later at 62. Our world was rocked for a long time after - but thanks for this thread to being me back to the happier times of “before”.

ToooOldForThis · 03/12/2022 23:48

I'm pretty sure I WAS posting 15 years ago tonight...it would have been something along the lines of how do I get this damn baby out of me! Dd was due 12th Dec and I was so keen to just get her here safely! I chatted a lot to people on the ante natal boards then!

Aria999 · 03/12/2022 23:51

My mum had died in November the year before. DH and I were getting ready to move out of his tiny rented flat into the first flat we bought together, a new build. I remember going to see it for the first time (having already bought it) and thinking how tiny the rooms looked. They were better later with furniture in.

Sgtmajormummy · 03/12/2022 23:51

I was looking forward to stopping exclusive breastfeeding with DD.
DS had dragged on for far too long and I knew I didn’t want that again. So I would have posted:
“AIBU to give DD only 9 months of EBF when DS carried on for two and a half years?”
Guaranteed to raise a few hackles.Grin

Scoobyblue · 03/12/2022 23:52

I would have been wrapping presents for my dd’s 7th birthday. She’s now a fourth year medical student. She’s super clever and kind and hardworking and I’m very proud of the woman she has become.

TroysMammy · 03/12/2022 23:53

On gardening leave as made redundant, which I was happy about. Not looking forward to getting a hearing aid, in a dead end relationship with a cock lodger and bored shitless.

TroysMammy · 03/12/2022 23:54

And nearly 40.

TwoBlondes · 03/12/2022 23:55

ChessieDarling · 03/12/2022 23:27

I was 13, so something ‘witty’ and oh so very cool. While logging in and out of msn messenger trying to get Tom’s attention.
13 year old me would be appalled that Tom went on to marry one of my best friends. I mean, we never do much as spoke in person BUT STILL.

Have you read Everything I Know About Love? She talks a lot about MSN "relationships"

Anothernamechange1010 · 04/12/2022 00:00

Don't do it.
(get married next month)

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 04/12/2022 00:01

I'd have posted that I desperately hoped this pregnancy was going to stick.

It did! And he's now a wonderful human being. He was a bit poorly today and though he's now a typical teen I got to enjoy a rare snuggle on the sofa which was lovely.
