So today is the first day of the M&S 12 Days of Christmas Advent rewards on the app.
What have you got?
I've got a free M&S Tea Light Up Lantern - looks lovely but I don't drink tea. But it is free... tricky! It does say I have 11 days to use though, which is good.

It's not always a gift it's more likely to be a discount!

Just picked up the stocking string lights. I got them from the till. They didn’t have many sets left. 100s of bottles of gin and shower gel though, so I think if you’re after those there may be some left in a few days

Bottle of Prosecco! I’m well pleased.

I didn't know anything about this but have just looked on the app and I got a bottle of plum Snow gin. Fingers crossed I can find a bottle of it in our local store.

Yes, I went into the store and asked how to claim my gin. Pick up your item, take it to the till, scan your item, then scan your sparks card (mine is on my phone), it will show price as £0.

Hmm, is that the Aldi & M&S that are on a main road, but are a pain in the bum to get to because you have to drive up the road to come back on yourself?

Well, I decided to get the Tea Lantern - DH had to go into town to get his flu jab so it tagged along & went to M&S - yep, got the lantern, scanned at till, scanned Sparks card & cost of lantern came off.
Hoping for a 20% clothing voucher next!!

They had loads in my M&S - they come in three colours (good, silver & bronze) so plenty of choice.

Has the gift got any relevance to how much you spend in store do you think?

The M&S Sparks algorithm is a mystery! Usually the offers you get bear no relation to anything you actually buy - I've never bought tea in there for example, as I don't drink it.

Each day will be a new offer, but most likely the next few days will be % off or a set amount off certain items. I think they've started with the freebies this year to entice you in. Hopefully there won't be a repeat of last year & the Gary Barlow debacle.

I’ve been offered a pack of mince pies. I finally managed to get it to work on the website rather than downloading the app. However, when I click the door the offer appears but when I click on ‘view loaded offers’ it says there’s nothing there? I can’t see a button to add it to my offers when I click the door.

No a retail park. That sounds like a nightmare!
