I've been trying the unlimited but the complete disconnect between the clue word and the answers makes it almost impossible.

You're just trying to find two random words most of the time.

That went completely over my head today.

I really struggle with this. Most days I don't get it. Tried practising with unlimited but not helping.

Only just got it. 8:8

I’m the same hep. I still find it really hard

The unlimited isn’t terribly helpful as a practice I don’t think, as the words have no connection to the clue. Better to go back through the archive (back arrow next to today’s puzzle number) or play some of the other Wordle type games - for example, I like the sequence and rescue versions of octordle but don’t bother with the daily.

Don’t worry about finding it hard as long as you feel like you get something out of it; it really isn’t a competition (and brain puzzles like this are supposed to have some element of protective measure against things like dementia). If you’re not enjoying it though that’s ok too, don’t make yourself do something that isn’t fun for you. 😊
