Deliberately provocative or simply pig ignorant?

Who could think it would be a good idea to dress as Crusaders in an Islamic country?
Judging by the types attending the matches I assume pig ignorant.

The number of England fans who have gone dressed as crusaders is zero, it's a depiction of St. George

Funnily enough the Quatari police haven't taken that view, have they? fans were also told not to dress up as St George precisely because it would be seen as provocative, whatever the intent.

There are loads of people in the stadiums dressed like this, clearly it is permitted, despite desperate googling to find a few vacuous news stories to "prove" you are right.

Perhaps they thought the fans had real weapons, like you?

The vast majority of people on the crusades didn't dress anything like these England fans.

No offence is intended, none has been given, none should be taken, not has it, except for those desperately looking for something to be offended by.

Just another England bashing thread really.

It's coming home.

Cool fan fiction there, imagining me desperately looking for anything that backs me up. And you'd have to be pretty stupid to imagine I thought those were real weapons.

It's coming home

😅😅😅Hope you don't have too much money on that.

Maybe they didn't think.
I was sharing a lovely pork recipe with a Muslim lady at the supermarket checkout once, it was only after telling my husband about our chat he reminded me Muslims don't eat pork and I thought "whoops".

I used to work for a bank that had a branch in Saudi. Glad it wasn't me who asked one of the Saudi staff what their Christian name was.

I don't think 'thinking' ever came into whatever made them decide to do that.

Clearly you are aware there have been contact between England fans and Qatari police over their costumes, where did that knowledge come from?

I suspect you looked it up, saw the first thing that confirmed what you believed, then posted it without thinking that fans are permitted in the stadiums dressed like that.

Fan fiction my arse.

You said weapons?

It's Qatari, not "Quatari" ,but I won't call you stupid.

You and the OP have gone off half cocked added 2+2 and made 43.

Not one England fan has gone dressed as a crusader.

You should be ashamed of the suicide vest comparison.

Keep digging.
