A few quick opinions needed... will be buying today! It's for a spare, single bedroom, fun and modern vibe (hopefully!) Thanks.

I don't like ochre colour but prefer the left hand one.

imnotthatkindofmum · 21/11/2022 12:37

Second one. I think the tones are nicer for a bedroom.

Toddlerteaplease · 21/11/2022 11:13

Oo I like them both but think the second one is easier on the eye.

This

girlmom21 · 21/11/2022 12:39

The first ones definitely more modern.

Happenchance · 21/11/2022 12:41

Definitely the first one. It's more restful and it goes with more colours of furniture/furnishings than the yellow one. Your yellow curtains will bring out the yellow in it, making it look less grey.

The second would go well with an avocado bathroom suite, in the ensuite 😁

Greenfinch7 · 21/11/2022 12:42

Second one is warm and cheerful. First one looks less homey to me-

PortalooSunset · 21/11/2022 12:44

For all 4 walls in a room intended for sleeping? Neither of them! If the room's main use is office space or something then probably 1. But either would be OK as a feature wall with the other walls painted, as long as the paper was on the same wall as the headboard!

tara66 · 21/11/2022 12:45

Neither - as said before - both too busy. Bedrooms are supposed to be restful - they are for sleeping in. These patterns will make any room look smaller. If you insist on them - put on only one short wall not whole room.

stepfordwifey · 21/11/2022 12:46

First one is much lighter and I like more of the white. Could be easier to accessorise with grey things as well. Maybe just one wall though? You could match a white paint and do the other walls. Then add a couple of shelves.

Primrose98 · 21/11/2022 12:47

I prefer the first one - At first glance the second one was more appealing (cosier?), but I think the first is more sophisticated and calmer.

Lycanthropology · 21/11/2022 12:48

The second would go well with an avocado bathroom suite, in the ensuite

I once bought a house with a "chocolate brown* bathroom suite, including bidet. However awful you may imagine that to be, I can assure you it was far worse.
The avocado and pink ones I've also owned and torn out were super tasteful in comparison. I think 2nd hand coloured suites are now sought after!

I prefer the second one. The first one it too grey. Grey is everywhere now - boring and will look dated soon I reckon.

Starburst8 · 21/11/2022 12:49

I like both, funnily enough these are similar designs to my bedding and curtains! Maybe the 1st one (the picture with the chair) will look better on a wall as it has the larger break up of white and grey.

SwedishDentist · 21/11/2022 12:50

Second one. Grey and yellow is dated now. It's too contrasting in the first - second is much nicer with the smaller pattern.

FuckabethFuckor · 21/11/2022 12:50

I much prefer the first one. Easier to calm it down with other paint finishes/soft furnishings for a bedroom. And it would support hangings, like gilt-edge mirror for example.

It's counterintuitive; at one level it's a busier pattern but I think the white and grey helps soften it a bit.

Personally I wouldn't do the entire room in either; I'd do a feature wall and the rest plain paint to balance it off a bit.

Smearywindowsagain · 21/11/2022 12:51

Second

OnLockdown · 21/11/2022 12:51

I prefer the second but think it will only look good if you have a real design eye to be able to pull off which furniture and accessories to go with it.

DuchessDandelion · 21/11/2022 12:53

The second.

Grey is passé.

BobbyBobbyBobby · 21/11/2022 12:53

This is similar to many bedroom wallpaper we had in the seventies although brown and coral shades featured heavily.

Bedrooms tended to be florals and the pattern shapes were more more for living areas.

Floomobal · 21/11/2022 12:54

They’re both pretty horrendous, so I’d go for whichever is cheaper, if there’s a price difference

MidnightMeltdown · 21/11/2022 12:55

I don't like either to be completely honest

Reminds me of the 70s wallpaper that my parents were desperately trying to scrape of the walls when they bought their house 😂.

If I had to choose I would say that the first one is slightly better though

rainbowstardrops · 21/11/2022 12:56

I prefer the first one

Bluevelvetsofa · 21/11/2022 12:57

Dulux colour of the year 2023 is called Wild Wonder and is a sort of ochre colour. I think that would be more restful than a pattern in a small room.

CraigDavid · 21/11/2022 12:59

Second. The first looks a bit like it belongs in a premier inn or similar.

welshpolarbear · 21/11/2022 12:59

1st one.
