A few quick opinions needed... will be buying today! It's for a spare, single bedroom, fun and modern vibe (hopefully!) Thanks.

I'd also probably just put whichever one you choose on one wall and paint the rest.

BobbyBobbyBobby · 21/11/2022 11:50

Neither look particularly 70’s to me and I was a young adult during that decade so remember the decor well.

BMW6 · 21/11/2022 11:53

I prefer the first. The dominant colour is grey, but the second is yellow.

Lycanthropology · 21/11/2022 11:55

I'm not particularly looking for a 70s vibe @BobbyBobbyBobby , but don't mind if I get one, as a PP suggested I may with either of these wallpapers.
I was a child in the 70s, but still remember some of the pretty amazing patterns!

I prefer 2. The first one is too chaotic for my liking and I’m not a fan of grey (although actually if you have a grey carpet it would go nicely).

Don’t understand the ‘too busy’ comments. This is a single wall and you have no idea what the rest of the room will look like. Also, OP clearly likes it, so it really doesn’t matter if you don’t.

Sorrynotsorry2 · 21/11/2022 11:56

1st one

Littlepiggiesinblankets · 21/11/2022 11:56

The second one for me (mainly cause I am sick of grey in interiors now!)

Ohdearnotagain76 · 21/11/2022 11:57

First as second looks faded before you begun

I realise there's grey in the second one too, but looks less to me.

Schnooze · 21/11/2022 11:58

I like the one with more grey in it. It’s less “busy”. But both are nice,

Lycanthropology · 21/11/2022 11:59

Interesting that people are noticing the grey in the first. I have no grey anywhere in my house, didn't jump on that trend but liked the wallpaper for the yellow/ochre part and the pattern. I have some yellow curtains already for the room.

I would be concerned about wallpaper with those colours being out of fashion now. I don't decorate to a trend myself, but lots of people do. Grey and yellow has been around for a while now and I think grey is going out. Obviously that may not matter to you op, but something to consider if it does.

knittingaddict · 21/11/2022 12:07

I do love the mid century vibe to those wallpapres though. I would go for the one without grey as I think it will date more quickly.

Clawdy · 21/11/2022 12:09

First one definitely.

ofwarren · 21/11/2022 12:13

The first. The second is too yellow for me.

Sewaccidentprone · 21/11/2022 12:15

You need to read the book The Yellow Wallpaper - lol

NannyGythaOgg · 21/11/2022 12:15

second for me.

Sewaccidentprone · 21/11/2022 12:17

I prefer 2. The pattern is more regular and the colour contrast less jarring. Also warmer looking.

Read it! I'll just have to be careful who I put in there! Grin

Roughly counting with my fingers they're still pretty much neck and neck! 😱

catmothertes1 · 21/11/2022 12:20

First one.

ErinAoife · 21/11/2022 12:23

I find these wallpaper not modern at all but outdated, looks like something for the 70 on my opinion.

mydogisthebest · 21/11/2022 12:31

Second. I really like both of them though

JaneJeffer · 21/11/2022 12:32

Don't like either. Sorry!

Lycanthropology · 21/11/2022 12:34

From the 70s @ErinAoife ? That's the modern era...
By modern I don't mean currently trendy, I CBA with that!
