Currently in the middle of a major depressive episode, am alone as the girls are at their Dad’s for the night, and have done everything in my “self care toolkit” and still feel incredibly low. I need to put the tv on until I can take my bedtime meds and go to bed.

I need to stream something that will get me to bedtime. Can anyone help?

Thank you xxx

If you have Disney plus Only Murders in the building is great!

Gherkingreen · 16/11/2022 19:30

Ghosts or Derry Girls. Am late to both but they never fail to make me smile, even properly laugh, they're both perfectly silly and brilliantly written and acted.

Two Doors Down (BBC I player) it’s hilarious and there’s 6 series. You’re welcome 😉

CalculatingSuccess · 16/11/2022 19:42

I am honestly going to write these down and make a go to list, I am so grateful to all of you. Thank you so much, I’m starting to feel better already xxx

Parks and Recreation (maybe skip the first series)? Or Nashville is on All 4 if you fancy a big silly soap opera with some good tunes Smile it always cheers me up.

Try Ivy and Bean. It's based on a series of bestselling American children's books. I love the characters. I think it's Netflix.

Also Clarkson's Farm on Amazon Prime was oddly compelling!

NameChangeForARaisin · 16/11/2022 20:09

Father Ted.
The other one.

DuchessDandelion · 16/11/2022 20:13

@Wirralwifey yes just finished re-watching it :) also enjoyed Bill (same team) and (I think its called..) The Great Ghost Escape which is similar

Trumpton · 16/11/2022 20:14

Taskmaster had me gasping with laughter the other day.
I have only just discovered it and it’s so funny. All4.

MumofSpud · 16/11/2022 20:17

Derry Girls on Netflix is my current comfort programme - hilarious, lovely and full of great songs from my teenage years!

Superstore on Netflix. Nothing happens, so I genuinely don’t know why it’s as entertaining as it is!

FightingFatAt49 · 16/11/2022 20:21

Starting watching a new show on BBC (new to me anyway) called Here We Go, very funny!

Sidge · 16/11/2022 20:24

My go-to lightweight cheery-uppy programmes are

Brooklyn 99

The Big Bang Theory

Say Yes to the Dress (total cheese fest but I love it)

Flairmaine · 16/11/2022 20:25

The good place and modern family.

bigfamilygrowingupfast · 16/11/2022 20:29

The white lotus on sky is good (and I also like that it's set in Hawaii so you can pretend you're on holiday whilst you watch it 😂)
