What's your evening like when DC have activities?

We usually eat together around 630-7pm. Either DC are already in pjs or they shower after and bed time is 8, lights out 830.

DC is moving groups from the earlier to the 6-730 session meaning we won't be home until 8 which is a bit late to eat. We'll have to leave at 5 so eating a meal before is not feasible either.

How do you manage to feed everyone? Do you give up on trying to eat as a family once activities are factored in?

I do think this depends if you WoTH or not. I'm not home from work before 6pm unless I leave early and although DH WFH he rarely finishes before I get home. So it would be impossible to make anything before most activities (Cubs is at 7pm so pretty late, all the sports are at 6pm).
